I’m old enough to remember when Trump’s bullying was going to cause us to lose our allies and force them to side with Tehran.

All this says is that businesses are changing their plans due to Donald's threats. Not that they endorse the sanctions. To the contrary, if these companies believed in the sanctions then they wouldn't be seeking business deals in Iran in the first place, and therefore they wouldn't be changing their behaviors now.
