inspired from this article. Winegate: Red wine health researcher falsified data | Watts Up With That?

Dr Fiona Godlee, BMJ editor in chief, said: 'While our survey can't provide a true estimate of how much research misconduct there is in the UK, it does show that there is a substantial number of cases and that UK institutions are failing to investigate adequately, if at all.
'The BMJ has been told of junior academics being advised to keep concerns to themselves to protect their careers, being bullied into not publishing their findings, or having their contracts terminated when they spoke out.

Well, well. So this is how it is going to be. All scientists are frauds, and only obese junkies on the radio know anything about science. Just keep that shit going. In a few years, we will feed you back all of this fecal material.

You 'Conservatives' have not only prevented anything from being done to prevent the consequences we are seeing from climate change, you are actively trying to prevent anything from being done to address the consequences. In the coming years, this will be remembered in a number of public spheres.

odd comment. are you saying that we should just believe what we are told? ignore transgressions? deny the possibility that there is something wrong going on in some areas?

Judy Currie has an interesting article on how the P statistic has been found to be overstated in papers where the researchers get to choose how to pick and manipulate data. you should read it, or is even J Currie too close to the skeptical side for you to venture?
