Windows Update Warning!!!!!!!

If you're still running Win 7 or Win 8.1 watch out for two monthly updates; KB4493472 and KB4493446, seems there's a conflict with many anti-virus programs that lock the system up.

Currently seems to be affecting servers running those two OSs but I hid it when it showed up on my Win 7 gamer just in case.

Microsoft's April 2019 Updates are Causing Windows to Freeze

Pfft, if you have DX11 update, turn off/ remove Windows Update. No other updates are necessary to have a full and functioning OS.

Disable it in aw shit, how do you do that?

services.msc and the other one. msconfig.

Press the Windows key +R and type "services.msc" and then disable Windows Update.

Do the same in msconfig just in case.

I have been having issues with Firefox on one of my computers since the last update. Not sure what it is. I suspect it must be one of the addons not playing well with it.

I've been having problems with Chrome and it's always when I am watching tv. TV uses Flash Player.

Don't think it is flash doing it. Haven't tinkered with it much yet but I suspect it may be related to a VPN unblocker I have installed. The computer I am now is virtually the same computer and doesn't have issues with firefox. I use a different VPN add-on on this one than I do on the other one. Windows sometimes gets ahead of add-on developers. I think Ant video downloader got mucked up for months after one of the windows updates.

Firefox should not be using Flash in this day and age, it should be using HTML 5.

They reportedly have ended support for it and all major browsers will be done with flash by the end of next year. It is functionally extinct.

Chrome no longer really supports Flash which will end (no more Adobe Flash) in 2020.
