Wind-Turbines Are NOT Alien-Aircraft!!

No, they are not alien craft. Although many people use the NIMBY argument to prevent such things from being built (including so-called environmentalists).

As an example, I worked for the owner of Jiminy Peak on a project while he was building his own wind turbine. He had so much opposition to people around him, because they didn't want it in their back yard. Regardless, it was a success story; now he sells power back to the power company.

Here, in Northern-Central PA, a lot o' locals complained about placement (of wind-farms), in the higher-elevation/mountainous areas.

Once it was proven that limited-tree-removal (to create openings for individual-turbine-placement) encouraged low-growth vegetation/food-source, for wildlife, the complaints ended.

Someone needs to tell George Bush that The DICK; Cheney was just funnin' with him.

"It took the federal government almost a decade before granting approval in April to Cape Wind off the coast of Massachusetts, the first wind farm in U.S. waters. State regulators approved yesterday a contract permitting the project to sell electricity from its 130 turbines."
what the hell does this have to do with either Bush or Cheney?
it was the Kennedy's that were holding this up
