With the fire lit under Willard's feet and growing by they day for him to release his tax returns like Obama and his own father has done, plus with a mounting stack of republicans calling for him to do so as well, it's looking like Willard may announce his VP nom early as a deflection.

Except he won't.

They are just going to keep stringing the Media along.

Personally? I think Pawlenty got it. But look for Jindal if he gets desperate.

Romney mulls early VP announcement | The Raw Story

Unless he asks Palin or a similar hot button personality no one is going to forget about his unwillingness to publish his tax returns. His previous attacks on Ted Kennedy will haunt him until November.

There is no fire to release the tax returns, except among democrats.

Having 15+ of your own constitutes and counting doing so in just the past few days isn't no big deal, it's a 4 alarm all hands on deck inferno.

Republican Voices

Democrats pressing Romney to reveal more about his tax filings got some help from Republicans -- including two of Romney’s primary rivals -- who said it was time for him to offer up proof he has done nothing wrong.

Texas Governor Rick Perry and U.S. Representative Ron Paul of Texas, who challenged Romney for the nomination, said Romney should divulge more tax records, adding their voices to former Republican Party national chairman Haley Barbour and commentators George Will and William Kristol.

“The advice I would give Romney is: Who cares about your tax returns? Release them,” Barbour told ABC News in a July 16 interview. “We need for this campaign to be about Obama’s record.”

The Republican-leaning National Review, in an editorial published online after its interview with Romney, echoed that view.

Funny how the Dems are the only ones interested in Romneys tax returns.

If he'd done something illegal the IRS would be all over his ass.

Funny that I haven't read anywhere where the IRS is going through his tax returns. Must mean there's nothing to find.

Its all big time deflection. What a fucking joke.

Deflection of the issues is the goal for the Democrats. They want you to think it's more important for the country to know about Romney's tax returns than to discuss the fact that Obama's economic policies have been a dismal failure. Democrats want to deflect the argument to be about Romney rather than let the people know that Obama is a goddamned Marxist.

I'd like to see Obama's college transcript and read his papers from when he was in college. Those will likely reveal a lot about how much the man hates the principals on which this country was founded and how much he favors collectivism and central control of people's activities. They would likely expose just how much that arrogant bastard thinks of himself.

With or without Romney's tax returns....Obama is toast!

No second term for you...FAILURE_boy!

Haley Barbour us a dem?

No doubt he'd be shocked to learn that

Yup. Who wants to talk about the economy, jobs or the general state of the country when you can deflect with Romneys tax returns.

What a fucking joke.

The stock market has doubled since the stimulus.
4.3 million private sector jobs have been created since 2009.
GDP has been growing since 2009.
Americans net worth is up $10 trillion dollars since 2009.
Auto sales are up. Retail sales are up. Home sales are up. Unemployment is down.
Bin Laden is dead, and GM is alive.
Obama has done a very good job.

Huh?

This is fucking laughable...

Seriously...

Laughable...

What are y'all lefties going to do when the "tax return" issue dries up? Talk about what a great job Barry Hussein is doing? The hypocrisy is stunning. Barry appointed a treasury secretary who admitted cheating on his taxes because he was too dumb to fill out the form and lefties seem to think that inexperience and stupidity is the new American dream.
