Willard will show Americans same respect he showed the moderator

Post-Debate Hysteria : The Mudflats

So while Republican surrogates have at long last something to gloat about and left leaning pundits are having difficulty controlling their bodily functions on national television, it’s helpful to maintain a little perspective. Media outlets, regardless of their editorial bent, of course love this mass freakout because after months of boring “Mitt is imploding” narrative it’s nice to be able to report something different.

But when all the gloating is done and Chris Matthews has extinguished his hair, only one salient fact remains.

Mitt Romney has no credible path to 270 electoral votes, and the President has several.

So how are you doing this morning, Barb? I'm guessing from the barrage of Huff Po and Think Progress that you're a little shaken after the beating that Barry took last night? Funny how the guy that was "allegedly" so brilliant looked confused and uncertain most of the debate. Could it possibly be that the whole main stream media narrative that Obama's the most intelligent man since Einstein got shredded by that lame performance? Barry looked more like Rick Perry than Bill Clinton last night.

But hey...if spamming Think Progress and Huff Po makes you feel better...you just go right on and spam...

The lesson of the debate is the complete disrespect and lack of regard Willard had for the moderator, who he said he liked.

Just substitute the American people, 47% of whom he does not even like, for the moderator and you will get a taste of how the American people will be treated and listened to if Willard is elected. No matter how much the moderator tried to assert himself, Willard ignored him and ran roughshod over him time after time after time.

Only one problem with your analysis, Ed...Barack Obama spoke for a full three minutes more than Mitt Romney last night, droning on about topics to the point where Romney had to interject to get a rebuttal in. If he HADN'T then the disparity would have been even more pronounced.

Romney simply stood his ground against someone who was doing his best to monopolize the time available.
Only if you don't count the 3 minutes Willard spent interrupting Lehrer and the president.

Go back and watch CNN's coverage of the debate...the one with the little clock down in the lower right corner that kept track of how long each candidate had been speaking. At the point that Romney started "interrupting" Obama is up over 5 minutes on Romney and the President is STILL trying to to "make one more point"!

Who can forget Obama's lecturing Lehrer about his "five seconds" and then proceeding to talk for another two minutes...

Bottom line? Someone forgot to tell Barry that the other side gets equal time.

So Obama ignores the rules and Romney is the bully.

:lmao:

Liberal logic, the nuttiest stuff in the world.

To the "let him die" and "feed the poor and they will breed" Republicans, Thurston Howell III showed the "little people" all they respect they will ever get.

I am watching the repeat of the Presidential Debate. Sadly, President Obama is deferential and is not operating with “fire in the belly.” Being a Christian gentleman, he is not resorting to bullying the moderator like Mitt Romney who has literally hijacked the debate. I am seeing the Mitt Romney operating as the bully he was in boarding school. I hope the American people give the President points for all the work he is doing behind the scene to seek democracy and global peace. [His job as Commander-in-Chief is exhausting!] Romney’s self-serving words about the poor and the middle-class fall on my unbelieving ears! Mr. Obama’s words are well-chosen, but, he is not confronting Romney with them. He refuses to get passionate (angry). I have respected Jim Lehrer for decades. I hope he realizes that he owes Barack Obama a personal apology for the poor job of moderating the debate. He, too, should have responded with firmness or anger when the millionaire and ex-CEO started talking over him and assuming control of the conversation.

Romney definitely bullied the moderator. He'll likely try the same bullying tactics in the next two debates; however, I doubt Candy Crowley and Bob Schieffer will allow him to get away with it.

2012 Presidential Debate Schedule « 2012 Election Central

This debate loss by Obama sure has you panties in a wad. Obama several times went over his time limits and broke the agreement the two candidate agreed upon before hand. Obama was detached and board and just likes the sound of his own voice.

Obama got a 55 gal drum of whoop ass opened on him. His only defense was to try to control the clock. That usually happens when a President's first four year are known disaster.

The amusing thing is that although Obama spoke for longer than Romney he said much less because a good deal of that time was spent on "Ah...","you know..." and long pauses...while Obama tried to remember his "lines".

You're REALLY blaming Jim Lehrer because Barack Obama showed up to debate totally unprepared and got taken to the woodshed by Romney? That's like an NFL quarterback throwing 6 interceptions and fumbling twice and blaming it all on a couple bad "spots" by a linesman.

There is only one person to blame for what happened and that is Obama himself. This wasn't an event that was scheduled at the last moment. He's known what was coming for over a year. There wasn't a question that was asked that he shouldn't have anticipated. Romney obviously DID anticipate them and he was ready. Obama was as overwhelmed by this debate as he's been overwhelmed by the job of President.

Liberals all talk about how they want Obama to kick the Republicans asses, but then whines about how everyone is big bad bully....

you just have to laugh at these people:lol:

What is amusing is that Lahoota only quotes from op-Ed pieces, no original thought. No real opinion, no analysis of what she saw. Lets everyone think for her.

You'd think she'd learn how silly it is, it hasn't worked for Obama.
