Will the Real Lewdog Please Stand Up?

And if that happens, it's their own fault, absolutely nobody is obligated to help them, and forcing them to is thievery.

I'll remember you when I need an example of how age doesn't always mean wisdom, and farting dust doesn't mean you're worldly.

If something happens in life that makes someone poor it is their own fault? Gotcha. Enjoy your youth. Ignorance is bliss!

Edit: I guarantee you will not find a single person on this forum over say... 40, that will say that you don't learn more from life's experiences than you do in reading books and on the internet. Try it.
You'd know, wouldn't you?

Of course it's possible. Some people just choose not to learn, or are incapable of learning. Socialists are a prime example of choosing not to learn.

I'm not trying to be mean to you. I know you can't control how old you are, but it is what it is. You absolutely can not substitute books or internet for life's experiences. You have no idea what responsibility is until you have to get a job, pay mortgage, pay a car payment, pay insurance, pay for food, shoot a gun, train in the military, have to defend your life against an attacker, ... everything. Or until you deal with things like finding a friend overdosed on drugs, or traveling to a different country, or witnessing a murder, or having a long term relationship, or having major surgery, or so many things that you just have to experience.

I'm serious, if you don't believe me, start a thread about it. Ask people if you can gain wisdom and just as much experience from books and the internet as you can with life's experiences. Don't believe me? Ask the people.
I won't deny I haven't experienced some of those, but you also don't know what I have experienced. You shouldn't assume I don't know anything just because I'm less than half your age.

You don't understand what I'm saying. Of course it's POSSIBLE to learn more from life than you can from books, but it depends on the person. Some people, like Socialists, refuse to learn.

Wrong. Sorry. Way to change your tune though about life's experiences.
You're just like my father. A socialist that refuses to learn from history, and thinks everyone else is responsible for his mistakes.

Your life experience can't teach you history.

And there it is... thanks for the explanation.

*First off I'm not a sock puppet*

I'm a 40 year old living in southern Ky. I grew up in southern Ohio but moved to Kentucky in 2008. I've worked as a Corrections Officer and as part of the SRT team there. Which is basically a prison SWAT team. I signed up for the Marines and went to Parris Island but ended up getting discharged because of medical reasons. I've worked retail for several different companies as everything as a sales associate, assistant manager, manager, and district manager. I used to gamble a lot, mostly black jack and betting on games. The most I ever won on a bet was a 4 team parlay that I won $4,500. I've gone to 4 different colleges including The Ohio State University, Sinclair Community College, Miami University of Ohio, and now Eastern Kentucky University. I was originally a Journalism Major, then Corrections, and finally Criminal Justice with a Minor in Police Sciences. I'll graduate next May.

I love sports, I'm a Reds fan, Bengals fan, former Pistons fan of the Bad Boys ear, Former Red Wings fan of the Yzerman era, and I follow all Notre Dame sports. I used to play a lot of sports but can't as much now due to a back injury. I used to be a scratch golfer, but unfortunately have never made a hole in one. I enjoy writing, I have a poem published, and I have won some flash fiction contests. I play some XBox One games, I surf the net a lot, and follow a few online forums for fun. I'm a huge animal lover and at one point or another in my life have owned all different kinds of animals.

I grew up as a Republican. I always looked up to Reagan, as a child of the 80's. I have always hated the Clintons from as far back as when Bill was in office. I truly believe he should have been removed from office for his actions. I supported Both Bushs. Eventually however I started to part with the Republican party because I saw too much negativity coming from them, especially the hypocrisy of being God loving people, but disliking gays and people of other religions. That's why I have become an Independent. I share values and beliefs that fall under the umbrella of both parties. I'm for the death penalty. I have seen firsthand there are some people that just cannot be rehabilitated and they serve no purpose to society. I'm Pro-life, except under certain circumstances like rape, incest, and if the mother's life is in danger. I'm for free public college education. I think Common core is a dumb concept. I'm for a strong military but I think the U.S. spends way too much compared to the rest of the world. I do think NATO or the UN should be paying the U.S. money if the U.S. is going to contribute more than other countries. I think we need to lower the number of immigrants we allow into our country. We already have a high unemployment rate and plenty of people that need help that we don't need to be bringing more people in. I'm for a strong border, but I think the Great Trump Wall is a stupid idea. I'm for deporting the illegal immigrants that are criminals, but at this point, I think we should give amnesty to the rest, and start fresh. I think it would be a waste of money to create a huge deportation unit, put all these illegal immigrants in a detention facility, and pay to send them back. Just hit the reset button on immigration and create a new starting point. I'm Pro-guns. I don't think government should be taking away our guns. Guns save more lives than they take. If you want to make things better, make stronger consequences for those caught illegally carrying and using a gun. I'm for a strong federal government, that holds precedence over the states. I'm for higher taxes on the rich. I think Medicare should be left alone. Same goes for Social Security, and in fact the government shouldn't be allowed to borrow money out of it. I am tired of career politicians and I think they should have term limits like the President. I believe in Global Warming, and I think we need to continue to work on renewable resources. I think burning the flag should be a felony, and I think everyone should stand for the National Anthem. I also think they need to bring back saying the Pledge of Allegiance to schools. Lastly, I'm agnostic.

Now if there is something I didn't cover that you want to know just ask!

A sock puppet says:

What?

If you feel offended by being called a sock, well who cares what someone has written about you... Shit I have been called many things from sock to a imbecile that should abort his pathetic life...

Good to see you broke away from your father's political leanings.

2410 posts and you do an introduction thread?

Yes, because I am tired of people assuming things about me, so this way people will know up front what I stand for. I didn't vote for Hillary just because I don't like Trump... and I didn't vote for Trump just because I think Hillary should be in jail. I'm not a Liberal just because I don't like Trump... I don't think we should have open borders, just because I oppose Trump's wall idea... it just gets old listening to people try to put words in my mouth.
Get used to it, it'll never end...... especially now that we know how to get your goat....... :eusa_whistle:

:D
