After wasting nearly 2 years on nothing but Obamacare in 09 & 10 will the GOP do the same damn thing starting this fall or even this summer?

Our system needs work, yes. But are we going to yet again play the polarizing game of focusing on one issue to damage the other party and thus ending up right back where we started?

Will the GOP be smarter than their predecessors and not blow all their energy on one god damn issue? If they gain power and put most of their time and energy into repealing O'care with no other economy and job saving plans they will sink their own ship before it even leaves the port.

Priorities IF they gain control should be something like this:

Economic deregulation
Legislation to promote job expansion
Balance our trade laws
End the wars
Repeal most of Obamacare and replace with necessary legislation
Cut wasteful spending programs
Enact a budget and follow it
Shrink govt agencies
Immigration reform (no more bandaids)

Then we the people should demand the following:

Term limits
Govt salary caps (especially congressional)
Election finance reform (all this money corrupts)

Agree on Election finance reform! We have constructed a pay-to-play system that allows special interests to gain monopolies over vital services like energy and health care. Research how much money Eli Lilly poured into congress in order to get exclusive rights to Bush's Medicare D. The result was that the American tax payer was on the hook for above market drug costs.

Here is our problem: the middle class consumer doesn't have enough money to consume. Right now companies are sitting on more cash than at any time in history - but they can't sell the products they have because too many consumers are bankrupt from the housing bust... and bankrupt from paying into the world's most expensive/inefficient monopolized health system (made worse under Obama who now forces people to buy into a monopolized system which is run for shareholders not patients)... and bankrupt from paying radically inflated energy costs (something Carter promised would happen if we didn't pivot hard to alternative energy in the 70s but who was crushed by Reagan who quadrupled our investment in petrol-terror states like Iran, Iraq and Saudi Arabia because he was so heavily funded by big oil).

Wall Street and the Health Care industry invested trillions into the Clinton and Bush administrations for the sole purpose of creating unregulated, too-big-to-fail frankensteins. The result was that Wall Street placed 20 trillion dollars worth of bets on a 2 trillion dollar silver of the housing market. Their leveraging grew to criminal levels because THEY OWNED Clinton/Bush and the congresses of both parties - and when their bets blew up, they parachuted away to safety, leaving the global economy in ruins. [Yes banks should not have leant to the un-credit-worthy, but the financial industry was making too much money packaging, selling, and insuring those loans. Wall Street created a derivative market that made dynastic fortunes for the few, who pulled their money out right before it blew up. It was all made possible because the people with the money own your government and your media. They have convinced you that it's government fault. What they don't tell you is that they own government, and they own the media sources which are interpreting the crisis for you. Who do you think funds Rush Limbaugh and Sean Hannity and Chris Mathews? They are all part of the same bullshit - one side pandering to the Right, the other side pandering to the left . . . but nobody is telling you the truth: government doesn't exist; it has been fully purchased by special interest who spend trillions to purchase federally protected monopolies. And when anybody tries to bust-up these anticompetitive frankensteins which control our markets and politicians, we suddenly hear the socialism chant.]

Meaning: there is only one health care option in 95% of Iowa. In state after state, these large frankensteins - because they bribed slick Willie and Bush - have the market locked down. They have divided the county into fixed "no-compete" zones. This means they cannot be disciplined by competition. It means they can raise premiums to the point where they bankrupt the middle class and they won't lose customers to a better, cheaper, more innovative competitor. Don't you get it? This is why they invest trillions into Washington.

And then Obama comes along. He realizes that the middle class will never be able to consume and drive the economy unless their health costs are brought under control. He realizes that the market has been distorted by 20 years of lobbying, which has turned the country into a fixed zone of "no-competes". So he says we need a public option in order to force the current health care monopolies to compete. This will force them to lower costs and innovate to retain market share.

But . . . because those monopolies own our media sources, they convince the Tea Party that anything done to curb their monopoly is socialist death panel. And so they get well-meaning people to attack any attempt to force reform on these monopolies. [Remember: the current health care market is not functioning like a healthy competitive market. These large corporations polluted the market by investing trillions into Clinton/Bush so that they could divide the country into "no-compete" ones where they could escape the discipline of market competition. This is what allows them to drive premiums up without fear of losing consumers. This is what has allowed them to destroy the economy by bankrupting hard working consumers]

But ... so, these well-meaning Tea Party patriots believe that they are fighting socialism when in fact they are being unknowingly influenced by insurance monopolies (through Freedom Works) to protect these very monopolies.

Americans can't consume enough to save this economy because their economy's vital organs - energy and health care - have been purchased by special interests. The point of being a market winner is to have enough money to lobby Washington for total market control - so you can insulate your shareholders from the risk that comes with expensive innovations.

The old way of making money was to take risks and innovate - to lower prices in order to capture more consumers. That way of making money died when we allowed large mega-corpotations to fund elections and staff congress, the White House, and all regulatory agencies. Big Business owns the state. And rather than actually taking action against this unholy, noncompetitive system, they have convinced you that the problem is "government". But ... there is no government. Government is owned by the special interests who fund it. The voter has to start addressing the real form of concentrated power in this country. It's called concentrated wealth.

Concentrated wealth is concentrated power. Concentrated wealth funds elections and owns government, and it has set up bankrupting dysfunctional monopolies over all our vital markets. If you let it continued, than the middle class will pay so much for health care and energy that they will never have enough to consume. We will never fix the current problem with aggregate demand if we don't address the special interests which have destroyed things like health care.

We need to FORCE the current monopolies to compete again. This means that some shareholders will be exposed to more risk than they're used to. We can no longer protect the investment class from competition. We can no longer allow a small group of Americans to own shares in a company that has a monopoly over the health services required by all the poor slobs who are held captive by those monopolies.
