Will Ryan and the GOP win the "War on the Elderly"?

On Meet the Press, David Brooks said that the average senior citizen has put $150,000 into Medicare and has pulled out $450,000. I have no idea if it is true or not but if it is it is untenable.

Yes it is untenable, I quite agree.

Again, this is evidence that the problem we are facing cannot be solved by merely foisting the costs of HC onto some other group or class.

The problem is simply put...
modern medicine costs more than modern workers can afford.

That's one of the primary problems. Most people who draw social security end up using up what they put into it in the first 3-6 years. With the improvements in medical technology, we are keeping people alive much longer than they typically would have lived when social security was first started. Worse than the elderly social security recipients are the young who go on disability payments. They receive basically a tax-funded existence for many years, and put virtually nothing into the system. It's not that I personally have anything against them, but there are alot of people on disability who are able-bodied but have crappy entitlement attitudes.

Thats about right. If you had to, you can go to one of those clinics that do a sliding scale, then utilize what ever means to get the meds. The clinic will usually know about thees programs. And yes, I think there is a financial criteria that has to be met. If the vast majority looks they will find it.

Sorry bunky, but your story is just that...a story. Suddenly YOU don't know for sure if you had to file tax papers to declare bankruptcy. A doctor writes you script without charging you or registering you as his patient...you had no insurance and indicate that you weren't exactly flush with cash at the time....and then you give some generalized supposition and conjecture about clinics. Bottom line: you've gleamed off a few commercials regarding financial help offered to seniors who can't afford their meds (some private, some gov't sponsored)....the commercials are not very specific on their details, and neither are you.

In any event, your "option" is no way in hell a viable substitute for the medicare program for the overwhelming majority of seniors in America.

What ? I never said I was not registered as a patent. What? You never said you were, did you? A registered patient who alludes to being broke....how did you pay the doctor with no insurance? A doctor who writes script references for you? Puh-leeze, your story gets more absurd with each elaboration. And I do believe I said that the tax papers were most likely used to see if I met a certain criteria. Yeah, and I pointed out that "most likely" is NOT a confirmation that you submitted such or explains exactly what "criteria" was met. Again, your story raises more questions than gives answers. I wont post websites because I dont want to get banned again, but any moron (even a stupid swamp donkey like you) can do a five second google search and find out how I did it.

Now I KNOW you're full of it! Since when do people get banned for posting links to simple information websites? Bottom line: you're just another knee jerk neocon/teabagger who parroted a talking point that did NOT stand up simple, logical examination. YOU, MH, cannot meet a simple burden of proof....so you can keep parroting your BS til doomsday. No one with an 8th graders ability to critically think will be buying it. Adios.

Well some time has passed and I figure I will help you out. here you go bunky-

And you get the whole ball rolling right here, Galveston County Health Access Program everything from HIV and cancer to tooth aches. in one motion, you can get medical attention, and the meds.

Interesting from your site:

Only residents of Galveston County are eligible for healthcare services at the 4Cs Clinics. Galveston County residents must register to see if they qualify for services. The cost of health care for eligible patients is based on their household income.

This type of service is situational with each City/County/State...so it's not available throughout the USA.
Medicare is far more economically expansive, covers the USA and it's citizens....and this was NOT what YOU were describing for yourself, MH.

Then examine it or hush.

Not so fast, bunky....YOU made all these claims, so the burden of proof is on YOU. If you can't provide proof beyond some generalized and slightly vague stories, then you're just blowing smoke.

is that too generalized and slightly vague ? facts usually are a bit rough for you libtards.

See my response, genius. It took a few days to grasp that straw....pity I just broke it for you. Another neocon parrot bites the dust!

It's just a matter of time until middle American wakes up. Republicans should be concerned, because there is going to be a massive backlash against them and conservatism in general.
That is the logical assumption. But if the percentage of brainwashed right-wing partisans who inhabit this forum is an accurate projection of the voting public then the end of America as we've known it is imminent.

The sad fact is the average voter is more capable of discussing American Idol and the football season than the Nation's political situation.

Well any state that has a health department has something similar to 4c's. and no, I did not utilize 4c's because at the time I did not know it existed . The only thing I paid for were blood test and a 15 minute office visit. If you weren't so dense you would be able to look at this here-

And figure it out. I also stated that the Dr. who diagnosed my condition charged some times and did not charge for others. Weather or not you believe it or not I could give a fuck less as your opinion is just that. I have facts. Any one who needs medical help needs to look and they will find it 9 times out of ten. The only exception would be cancer treatment which is hard to get. I will post links again so you get it. Hell, you libtards should be jumping for joy that thees resources are out there.

Adios.

As for the simple burden of proof, I need to prove nothing to you. But you have given none to support your view. I brought you 100 clinics in Idaho who service the unwilling to work, elderly, and uninsured. Its on you now spunky.

The GOP does NOT want to kill the elderly.

They want MARKET FORCES to do it for them so their hands don't get dirty
