Will Obama Use Ebola Threat To Impose Martial Law?

Seems counterintuitive if you only think shallow level/on the surface.

Then please assess the common sense portion of sending our military into an area with a known deadly virus............

Please show us the light.

I'm not going into this Martial Law thing......This is a deadly virus. It is spreading and we are sending our people right into the area..........

We are risking exposure to our troops by sending them there............This is a CDC matter and World Health Org matter to try and stop the spread. They are trained to do this............

If we are only dropping supplies in CLEAR SAFE ZONES then my hair doesn't stand up as much on the potential exposure to our troops.
My understanding is, we're putting "boots on the ground" at ground zero for a deadly disease with no known, proven cure. Of course, the troops being sent there are in danger...but it is not an enemy that can be seen or fought against. Count on more, many more, US citizens infected with this scourge to be brought back to the US. Only in this way can we be assured that this horrendous disease will be introduced into the population.

If security is loose it goes worldwide, versus sending a small force into harms way to do one of its defined duties.

Which is the liberal plan all along.

Let me guess. You think the POTUS wants Americans to be infected with Ebola.

No guessing with you, huh? Special.

Using the map and common sense logic show me how to contain the area with 3,000 troops.

I have not agreed to that argument..........But I understand that our troops are going into a hot zone.............Not bullets and guns but into an area where they can catch the disease which is spreading in the region...............

How did they stop it in Congo............even though it was a smaller containment area..........This containment area is large.

there is a ground zero, where it is concentrated. But you knew that.

or not.

besides, it strengthens the need for intervention when its busting at the seams. Duh.

QUOTE="CrusaderFrank, post: 9812128, member: 19448"]"If the outbreak is not stopped now, we could be looking at hundreds of thousands of people affected, with profound economic, political and security implications for all of us..."It's a potential threat to global security..." -- Obama[/QUOTE]

How about people in affected areas being tested before they allow them to travel anywhere? Some might say extreme, but it'll spread because people are moving around constantly and infecting people.

Obama sounds more alarmed about this than about a bunch of illegal aliens coming in with illnesses. Allowing those illegal aliens to travel on public transportation is exactly how diseases are spread, now suddenly he wants to take action.

If we've learned anything, when Dems start sounding the alarms, you can bet they have a drastic plan that calls for government seizing more control to "fix" the problem.

You didn't answer the question. Ground Zero has now spread to a much larger area..........containment region is much larger as it is shown on the map................

Again, how does 3000 troops contain an area that large...............

Finally, what do our troops need to ensure they don't get infected.

Especially considering that medical personnel have been dying as well.

Late in the video mission objectives are explaine.

1. Build 17 Health Care Centers 100 beds each
2. Deliver Health Care Kits to 100's of thousands of homes
3. Help train 500 Health Care Workers a week
4. Infected turned away......(their words not mine)

Well, it appears the thread is dying so I'll stop putting the data up...............

I wonder what type of troops are being sent in. Are they all combat troops or or some of them specialist? Answers to these questions are elusive. My guess is that the troops are security forces to secure American interests. During Liberia's Civil War, American troops were sent there for that purpose also. Firestone and Delmonte have some strong agricultural manufacturing bases

I see they are sending medics, hospital corpsmen, doctors, construction battalions (seabees), security personnel, to control people seeking help.........Setting up a base of ops........Special medical building for medical staff infected.........Forward op base seems to be a like a Green Zone type of area to get the people coming and going from the hot zones.
