Mark Levin had a very good explanation about this on his show tonight. He said that the supreme court did not allow "foriegn" corps to participate; it was covered under a different law. He said there was a link on his website, if you are interested in accurate info.

He also mentioned that there could be two possible reasons for the president to mention it:
because he is not smart....or
because he wanted to "intimidate" the justices into not making decisions that go against him (that would be a really bad thing).

It made me wonder?

Obama gets what he wants by using threats and intimidation.

What's the mystery here?

it is against current us law for foriegners to give money to us campaigns.....that law was not struck down.....

Odd you didn't know that US corporations could be owned by foreigners.

Odd that you didn't know that the Supreme Court made US corporations "citizens" with the "rights of citizens".

Odd that you didn't know that US corporations don't have to give directly to candidates to affect political outcome. Similar to Moveon.org making commercials against McCain or SwiftBoat Veterans making commercials against Kerry.

Odd that you don't know that US corporations (but owned by foreigners) can now spend 100% of their profits in US political contests.

It was an outright insult to them....
