Pinochet was not a true fascist, because even fascists provided a social safety net.


Pinochet's gov't was totalitarian capitalism. And if you think that the inevitability i mentioned is nonsensical, observe the pinochet-like tactics employed during the bush years. The use of torture--and even quasi-torture against American Citizens--the harsh repression of those assembled to petition the Government for a redress of grievances in St. Paul and even members of the press. We are on the verge of having Pinochetism as we speak

so... if they are not believers in Laissez Faire, what are they believing in? Protectionism? Welfare-Statism? Laborism? please enlighten me as to these alternative Tea people
