Will Georgia throw away 92,000 jobs and $9 billion just to take away women’s rights?

Hollywood actors, producers boycott Georgia over anti-abortion bill, but studio bigwigs lag behind

Georgia was home to 17 of the year’s 100 highest-performing U.S. feature films, coming in first place and besting California.

“Our comparative assessments of locations for upcoming development will pull Georgia off the list until we can be assured the health options and civil liberties of our female colleagues are unimpaired,” Simon tweeted Wednesday.

Make no mistake, this is an attack aimed squarely and purposely at women.

“Film and television production in Georgia supports more than 92,000 jobs

.........

This reminds me of what Mike Pence tried to do to the 280,000 gay people that live in Indiana. He tried so hard to ruin their lives but normal people eventually stepped up and protected these people from right wing Republican attacks.

As long as Republicans are only practicing voter suppression and slandering, people tend to except it. But once they go into out right attack mode and start trying to destroy the lives of innocent Americans, other people start to step up to protect them.

Enough money leaves this state, and they will heel.

I think Hollywood will make Georgia drop on their knees.
It worked in Indiana. Pence is still trying to put some cream on those bruised knees.

And that idiot, AOC threw all those jobs away for what?
Threw away those jobs? What jobs? This is as big a boondoggle as what Republicans did when they fukked up the state of Wisconsin.

Trump’s “Incredible” Foxconn Factory Deal Will No Longer Include a Factory

The Taiwanese company, which received more than $4 billion in tax subsidies, is scrapping its initial plans, but will keep the money, thanks.

Wisconsin’s $4.1 billion Foxconn factory boondoggle

...........

This is why Republicans should never be allowed to negotiate on behalf of the American people. Because they are con and scam artists.
Republicans only look to make a quick buck. They don’t care about the regular American people. That’s why they’re trying to take away their healthcare so they can give more tax cuts to billionaires.

We are supposed to believe Republicans care about a fetus? Seriously? That’s laughable. We’re talking Republicans. We know who they are by what they do.
The NYC Amazon jobs, idiot. AOC
Different location, different companies, but the same exact rotten stinking deal.

Imagine how not getting that 9 1/2 billion dollars to Georgia would damage that states economy.
It would be absolutely horrible for the state and for the people living in the state.
And all the time protecting the fetus of people they don’t even know. Even worse, if those unwanted babies were born then Georgia taxpayers get to take care of them. The money has to come from somewhere.

Sure beats killing/murdering precious, innocent babies.
Or putting them in cages, or stripping them from their parents. Or throwing teargas at them. Or letting them die when they get sick. Or forcing them back into a burning house when they’re trying to seek asylum by fleeing danger.

Know anybody who does that?

Nope. Obviously you think you do, and we all know you know all.

“I felt sad, I was scared. I wanted to cry. That’s when I grabbed my daughters and ran,” Ms. Meza, 39, told BuzzFeed. “I thought my kids were going to die with me because of the gas we inhaled.”

Reuters Photojournalist Talks About Photo of Children Fleeing Tear Gas at Border in Mexico

I’m so different than the inhumanity that comes from Republicans that it’s hard to believe we’re the same species.
They claim to care about babies but applaud teargas thrown at babies. It’s a mystery to me. I’m pretty sure we can all agree that it’s not about the babies, it’s about legislating women. Republicans want to put women into handcuffs. And the handcuffs are legislating women’s bodies. Republicans are turning women into property by legislating their bodies. And taking away their human rights. Clearly Republicans care nothing for babies.

Thank God you are. Thank God. These pictures mean........NOTHING. Prove...NOTHING.
How callous

Republican, I assume

Looks like you need to go back and read.

Lets see, when ever a republican complains about some blue state passing a new law the lefties on here all SCREAM " if you don't live there, it is none of your business".... Now they want to get in Georgia's business about a GEORGIA law and they SUPPORT others doing the same. Go figure.

The actual question...will Georgia allow women to kill babies so Hollywood will shoot movies there...you know, movies.....vs..... the life of unborn humans....?

Mike Pence...what is your problem with that guy......you guys really are mentally ill.....

Yeah we all know you can't wait for this sequel to come out from Hollywood...here is a ideal turn off the television and read the Bible.

I don't know. You're writing about an area that still believes in Jim Crow and blue laws. To their credit, Tennessee FINALLY banned adults marrying preteens.

Like I posted previously in this thread...

We shall see.

92,000 jobs? Is that how many people it takes to run the baby killing industry? I wonder if Hitler's movie producers threatened to boycott if he stopped killing Jews?

I was born and spent 25 years in Georgia. They are not going to apologize to anyone.

Georgia, like a lot of other places, has successful politicians who are successful because they pander to their base. The guys who run things there now pander to the rural hicks who drive pickup trucks with rebel decals on the windows. The urban North are the people who will lose money when businesses pull out. When that starts happening, the guys in charge will have a very quiet change of heart, or be replaced by some people who don't live in single wide trailers in Dogtrot, GA. These new panderers will pander to the business community, and to the urbans in Atlanta, Macon, Augusta, and Rome. Then, Bubba will be forgotten for a few years. This cycle repeats itself every 15 years or so. Hell, when I left GA, they had elected Lester Maddox. If GA can survive that, AND, the Civil War, they can survive anything.

But, the current politicians in charge know fully well that this is going to be struck down by the SC, and are confident that they can go back to Bubba and Billy Bob, and tell them, "Well, it's not my fault". They are correct to think this.

Not one film. Not one job. For an infanticide. No.

So why didn't you tell Obama to stop doing all that when he was President?

Sure, your comment was about Trump but Obama was no better and even lied about getting Immigration Reform done when he promised he would in his first term...

Places a dollar value on human life. Squirm your way out of that. Further, equates detaining a child (happens every day under our federal and state laws; has since our nation's birth) with murdering a child born or developing in the womb. What dollar value ought be placed on your hide, Dean?
