Will the Democrats Ever Win The Military Vote?

Yeah, I don't think absentee ballots hold any sway when they don't arrive in the US until mid December.

According to your kook conspiracy theory here, the Democrats must control the mailing of absentee ballots, even though absentee ballots are sent out by each local election board. Can you explain for us the mechanism of how the Democrats have managed to order all of the local election boards in the USA to mail absentee ballots late, while also making sure everyone involved keeps totally silent about the plot?

2/3rds of the military consistently vote against Democrats. No wonder why they get short changed on their absentee ballots. Here is the last poll where the troops made their opinion known about Obama and where they stand politically. Notice how the Active Duty military, guard/Reserve Military/Retirees are overwhelmingly conservative. Military Times Poll

Who cares about the Military Times poll? It's just a stupid poll.

The results in 2008 showed McCain besting Obama 54% to 46% when it came to the military vote.

Among veterans under the age of 60, Obama beat McCain.

So the poll showing 60-whatever percent liking McCain was indeed a poll where older veterans happened to answer the phone since all the younger ones were overseas.

With the numbers Obama pulled in in both of his 50%+ trouncing of the Republicans, it is safe to say that the military vote is no longer as comfortably in Republican territory as it used to be.

Obama did better with the military than Clinton did.

Let's be clear, the military is America's greatest Welfare recipient. Makes sense that Republicans love it. They always say the government can't create jobs, yet it creates their own jobs.

As old, white people keep dying off, the Republican brand will continue its contraction if they don't widen their net outside of white people. Mitch McConnell is not as safe as he used to be in Kentucky. Texas actually has a Democratic candidate making the race their at least a competitive one. Virginia isn't safely red anymore. Neither are parts of the southwest. Michigan and Pennsylvania don't seem to be the swing states they used to be.

It's all because of a contracting Republican party that is only surviving right now because of all the gerrymandering of districts they pulled off a few years ago, which actually allowed them to hold onto the House of Representatives even though they lost the total congressional vote by a million and a half.

They had to gerrymander the districts in order to stay alive. Same with all their schemes to suppress anyone who isn't white from voting.

I had to vote other. No one should ever say "never". Who knows what will happen in 1835 years... assuming of course that we make it that long as a country.

Why would you want the military to pick the nation's leaders??? Isn't that what they do in dictatorships?

In my opinion they're the ones that actually earned the right to vote..

Free loading liberal Democrats want the rights, then insult the ones that fought for them.. That's called being ungrateful bastards..

They will if Republicans keep sending us into unnecessary wars

name 3

WW1 (D)
WW2 (D)
Korea (D)
VN (D)
Bay of Pigs (D)

Only ones I can come up with are Iraq and Somalia for the (R)

WW1 and 2 were unnecessary huh?

Also the simple fact that the majority of US presidents in the 40's, 50's, and 60's were Democrat and that was the high point of cold war fighting....it's kind of a unfair comparison.

Correct. we never should have gotten involved.

the rest is the worst excuse ever. For gods sake put some thought into it next time

How is it that a guy that joined the military has earned the right to vote more than anyone else who's eligible to vote? It's also open to argument whether or not any military men have "fought "for us since WW2.
