Will Democrats ever learn to fight back?

Obama - Caught in the Middle
Link
Excerpt:
Obama and his top aides signaled retreat over the weekend on proposals for a provision under which consumers could choose from health insurance policies sold by the federal government as well as those marketed by private companies. "The public option, whether we have it or we don't have it, is not the entirety of health care reform," Obama told a town hall-style audience in Grand Junction, Colo., on Saturday. "This is just one sliver of it, one aspect of it." The government option is the GOP boogeyman scaring sacless Democrats, with critics saying it is a step toward a federal takeover of health care and supporters arguing it is essential to create competition with private firms.

"The public option, whether we have it or we don't have it"
uh........ does that sound like something is getting rammed down the publics throats or is he asking permission to have a public option?

Maybe you should wait till I have responded before you open mouth and insert foot. Go back a couple of posts, you'll see my response there.

you mean like you did with your bullshit quote and then spouting off on me about my supposed side and the facts.

I've read more than enough of you posts to know what your supposed side is. Choosing to ignore my elaboration and facts then resorting to "bullying" only goes to prove my point.
you only want to hear from those who agree with you and attack those who don't. Unrefutable proof of blind, closedminded partisanship. Oh well.

Next time you quote someone just make sure you get it right and do it with a link .... and then maybe you won't be crying the blues about someone bullying you no matter what political views you might think they adhere to.

did someone get bullied or are you just scared of black men?

I'm not scared of any man. But these guys did intimidate folks trying ot exercise their constitutional rights. But of course you're a hypocrite and won't acknowledge it.

Elmer, how did they intimidate them ...it doesn't look like they were armed with automatic weapons? and can you prove they are Democrats?

We got a phone call that there was intimidation going on. I walked up to the door, two gentlemen in Black Panther garb, one brandishing a nightstick, standing in front of the door. They closed ranks as I walked up. I am a veteran; that does not scare me. I went inside and found poll-watchers, they said they had been here for an hour — I went inside and found poll-watchers, they said that they had said not to let people outside because black people are going to win no matter what. At that point, I spoke to him, we would not get into a fistfight, I said, and I called the police."

Minister Najee Muhammad, national field marshal for the New Black Panther Party, told a crowd Nov. 2 that the Black Panthers would send members to polling sites on Election Day, the Jackson Sun reported.

"We will not allow some racists and other angry whites, who are upset over an impending Barack Obama presidential victory, to intimidate blacks at the polls," he said. "Most certainly, we cannot allow these racist forces to slaughter our babies or commit other acts of violence against the black population, nor our black president."

Quotes "The United States has two parties now - the Obama Party and the Fox Party. The Obama Party is larger, but it is unfocused and its troops are whiny. The Fox Party, which shows up en masse to harass politicians, is noisy and practiced in the art of simplistic obstruction."

Like I said, I emediately apologized and elaborated. Since it didn't fit your paradigm you choose to ignore it. Stop harping on a moot point, it doesn't prove anything except your attempt at redirection. I'm crying the blues? Wow you are desperately clutching at straws aren't you.
I think I go play tic-tac-toe for a while, it's more intellectually stimulating than debating with you.

A McCain campaign volunteer accused of making up a story about being robbed and assaulted in Pittsburgh by a black man who disliked her McCain bumper sticker will enter a program for first-time offenders.

Under the deal announced in court Thursday, 20-year-old Ashley Todd will be released from jail and required to undergo mental health treatment.

And your point is?

it's ok Elmer....think real hard for a day or two.:eusa_drool:

What's wrong nancy? You can't remember the point you were trying to make?

There's not much I agree with when it comes to Republicans. They want to keep the health care system as it is because we must not interfere with the private sector's freedom to gouge and bankrupt us while we're sick and dying. But there is a Republicans idea that I find fairly persuasive, however. They say that those of us on the left are just a bunch of weak sisters, not inclined to stand up for what we think. They might have a point. When the top Democrat in the Senate is Harry Reid, you can see why Democrats have gained a reputation as people lacking spine. Most of the self-proclaimed liberals I know simply cannot be persuaded to raise their voices except in the company of their own kind. Since I began writing this column five years ago, hardly a week has gone by that someone doesn't approach me in the supermarket or at the post office to tell me they're grateful someone is saying the things I'm saying. These comments are nearly always offered in a whisper. By now I can count on it; if someone is going to say they agree with my politics, that message is telegraphed when they drop their voices, anxious not to be heard uttering such heresy in a community like this one. You'd think we were resistance fighters in an occupied nation, skulking about with opinions so subversive we risk being rounded up just for exercising our First Amendment rights to free speech.

They were escorted out by police officers. And the three racist punks now face charges of violating the voter rights act by using coercion, threats and intimidation.

The Justice Department won the case last month but then later moved to dismiss the charges on May 15, 2009. Now Congressional Republicans asking asking why it was dismissed and by whom--political appointees or career attorneys? They are asking that the charges be refilled because under the circumstances it would not violate the double-jeopardy clause.

The Congressmen want to know why Associate Attorney Thomas J. Perrelli, the departments No. 3 political appointee, approved the decision to drop the case even though the government had won a judgements against the Black Panther for his actions at a Philadelphia polling location.

Rep. Lamar Smith (R-TX) had been unsuccessful since May in getting answers to questions about whether political appointees were involved in the complaints dismissal and why the department has refused to respond to congressional inquiries requesting specific information requesting on the investigation.

The original complaint against the three Black Panthers was filed by career lawyers in the Justice Department but the conviction appears to have been overruled by Obama appointees who were put into their positions by the President Obama. The complaint dropped the case against two of the men and charged the one man that wielded the nightstick. Then the Justice Department let the man walk free after they already had a judgement against him.

Records have not been forthcoming from the Obama appointee, Attorney General Eric H. Holder"s Justice Department which were requested under the Freedom of Information Act.

The problem for the Obama administration is that this situation cannot be hidden from the public, coming at a time where there is already dismay that he took the part of black professor who was raging and ranting on his front porch and called the cop who arrested him "stupid." What the President may be finding is that this is not Chicago, ruled with an iron hand by the Daley machine, that helped Obama up the political ladder. Millions of Americans are watching and don't seem to like what they are seeing coming out of the Obama administration when it comes to matters of race.

I agree.... since I have already clarifyied that the thread and topic is about the current administation and Democrats of the year 2000 and after and not about Democrats from the 1920's and 30's your points are moot and tic-tac-toe seems more your speed... buh bye.

so Elmer the charges were dropped and you have (as usual) nothing. Besides they weren't there to disrupt voters..... they said with their own words that they were their to protect voters from the crazy gun toting right who no doubt might try the same thing that they are doing at townmeetings now.

Nobody cares about the "protestor" profile....................

except of course, the k00ks. :eusa_clap:
