Will America Go Communist?

"America's first businessperson in the White House is doing more to destroy the American capitalist system than any previous president.

"A strong market economy needs a robust middle class, mechanisms for upward mobility, and clear rule of law to grow and sustain itself over time. US President Donald Trump has little allegiance to any of these."

Trump, tribalism and the end of American capitalism

I guess you have ignored the reality that the middle class has grown under Trump and the lower class has seen a higher average salary increase (by percent) than any other class. The MSM doesn't tell folks that though. They want to keep the ignorant, ignorant. That is the only hope they have in getting one of the commies elected.

Sure...coming from the party that has two socialist candidates.
Socialism rises from the failures of capitalism. If the private sector fails to serve the needs of a segment of society only then is there political pressure for the government to do something about it.

There will always be a segment of society that fails to provide for themselves.

It's just that simple in your mind isn't it? All anyone really wants to do is un-rig the system to work better for working people. Even that seems to be an unacceptably leftist position in a country where social mobility is becoming a thing of the past. The private sector provides no solution for a host of problems that are solvable except for one thing, there is no profit to had.

Free Medicare, free college, free rent, free income, yep that'll certainly encourage people to go out and get a job.
What does all the free shit that we give to the rich investment class (AKA job creators) encourage them to do? We like to think they invest it in making the country more prosperous. Is it such a stretch that poor people might also invest in their family's future prosperity if every last dollar was not tied up in mere survival?
Because except for the top 1% of the top 1% we can elect a dictator who will hunt them down and take what is theirs and/or kill them if things get bad. It has happened before. There are things that bothered me when manufacturing companies closed or removed CEO's over the decades. The massive buyouts and payoffs to them is insulting. To be paid off for losing in competition with others. Some have gotten many hundreds of millions of dollars and more. That is something anger comes from. A dictator will being misery to mostly all. And the blame unfortunately to the groups that will be easy to do it to.

Don't ask Bernie.
Ask Trotsky or Trump.
From 1934:

"Introduction from Fourth International

"The campaign against Marxist ideas sponsored by the capitalist witchhunters today aims to implant the false impression that Communism is completely alien to American life and opposed to the welfare of the American people.

"In the Thirties, during the rapid spread of anti-capitalist feelings following the Great Depression, there was considerable popular interest in the prospects of a Communist America.

"On this account the editors of Liberty Magazine turned to Leon Trotsky for a bird’s-eye view of what the Communist future holds for the United States..."

"'At present most Americans regard communism solely in the light of the experience of the Soviet Union.

"'They fear lest Sovietism in America would produce the same material result as it has brought for the culturally backward peoples of the Soviet Union...."

"Actually American soviets will be as different from the Russian soviets as the United States of President Roosevelt differs from the Russian Empire of Czar Nicholas II.

"Yet communism can come in America only through revolution, just as independence and democracy came in America.

"The American temperament is energetic and violent, and it will insist on breaking a good many dishes and upsetting a good many apple carts before communism is firmly established.

"Americans are enthusiasts and sportsmen before they are specialists and statesmen, and it would be contrary to the American tradition to make a major change without choosing sides and cracking heads."

Will Trump upset the capitalists' apple carts?

How many heads will crack before next November?

Leon Trotsky: If America Should Go Communist (1934)

Go for it. Move there and make a better life for yourself, but were not bringing that crap here. The goodness of communism is a lie, it only ends up with people having less choices, less opportunities, less hope.
COLUMN ONE : Relics of a Utopian Journey : Thousands of Americans moved to the Soviet Union in the 1920s and '30s in pursuit of a more just society. A few remain, but their dreams were shattered long ago.

...due to minimum wage increases implemented by the States. As Moscow Mitch has left the federal minimum wage increase bill to rot on his desk, with the complicity of the criminal president, these increases have actually occured IN SPITE OF Trump amd his Toadies, not because of them.

America will reject communism, as well crony government sponsored capitalism, as it exists today, and eventually adopt pure unobstructed free market based economy, which we do not have as yet but are creeping ever so closely toward. The coming debt crisis will accelerate the process and rock the government to its roots. The greatest threat to communism and government sponsored crony capitalism is the freedom to choose.

No. Even so capitalism as we know it is a failure as a sustainable economic system

Right right right, because as we know it , this "failed" system has brought the world things like the personal computer, I phones etc.... that have increased the speed and ease of business in general, not to mention other technological advances in medicine and even the cars we drive. Evil capitalists like Henry Ford who "got rich" because they had the vision to create something would have been considered a criminal in your peoples' world, and locked away in a gulag someplace.
We are living in a system where growth is essential in a world with finite resources. There has to come a time when further growth is impossible, what then?

Solar power, mining of asteroids. For starters.

Bernie Sanders is the quintessential Communist, declaring American Capitalism bad while himself owning 3 homes, being a multi millionaire and never running a business or making a profit on his own hard work. Every dime he has made is on taxpayer money. Yet he sits there and denigrates the 'rich' and promises free shit to everyone. He's a commie liar.

Capitalism's main problem right now is that so many who think they're defending it are doing such a shitty job.

This pseudo/quasi-libertarianism that has consumed the GOP since the days of Reagan is making capitalism ripe for the picking.

These people really should be receiving Thank You cards from those who want socialism or communism, for the assistance.
.
How do you think capitalism will react if Bernie moves into the White House and he lifts restrictions on US imports of prescription drugs from Canada and bans the export of crude oil?

Only when socialism succeeds in substituting administrative control for money will it be possible to abandon a stable gold currency. Then money will become ordinary paper slips, like trolley or theater tickets.

State and money have a number of traits in common, or so Trotsky believed. Both will have to exhaust their historical mission, evaporate, and fall away.

Leon Trotsky: If America Should Go Communist (1934)

"Here is where the American (worker) soviets can produce real miracles. 'Technocracy' can come true only under communism, when the dead hands of private property rights and private profits are lifted from your industrial system.

"The most daring proposals of the Hoover commission on standardization and rationalization will seem childish compared to the new possibilities let loose by American communism.

"National industry will be organized along the line of the conveyor belt in your modern continuous-production automotive factories.

"Scientific planning can be lifted out of the individual factory and applied to your entire economic system.

"The results will be stupendous.

"Costs of production will be cut to 20 percent, or less, of their present figure. This, in turn, would rapidly increase your farmers’ purchasing power."

Resources are infinite. There is no limit to growth. Remember the bet Julian Simon made with Paul Erlich? It was on whether the price of five strategic metals which Ehrlich chose (copper, chrome, nickel, tin, tungsten) would rise or fall in a ten-year period from 1980 to 1990. All five metals went down in price. Ehrlich lost the bet. Prices continue to fall. The year 2001 saw “the worst decline in commodity prices in at least 31 years. Copper fell to a 14-year low, coffee was the cheapest since 1971 and cotton dropped to its lowest price in more than two decades.”

Technology allows us to use new materials in place of old ones. It also allows us to use existing materials more efficiently. Furthermore, we will soon be able to exploit asteroids and the moon for materials. Then they will be virtually limitless.

Communism has always been a disaster, and it always will be. Government isn't competent to run an economy.

Yes, I believe the US will go Communist, or Socialist... However, Trump has nothing to do with it. It won't happen for a couple of more presidents I wager.

Everyone I think can agree that your side of evil and horror, is winning. We have the clearest examples in the world of Socialist ideology destroying every country it has ever been tried, and we still have a self proclaimed communist running for high office, and he's not running as joke.

So clearly the rule of the stupid is growing in the country. So yes, I think American will at some point end up Socialist. It would take an amazing reformation of morals and education, to reverse this, and I don't see that the stupid people controlling the left wing will let anything good ever happen.

A prefect example is NYC. NYC has years of clear cut history where socialist rent controls and public housing policies have destroyed housing for the public... this is why NYC moved away from those policies. Well, last year they openly embraced those policies, much to the dismay of many of the fools who supported Cuomo.

Which by the way I love that.... I love watching the supporters of left-wingers end up being destroyed by left-wingers.

I love watching the people who voted in AOC, lose jobs and growth when AOC drives up Amazon. I really enjoy watching left-wingers destroy themselves.
