WI, now IN and OH....is the end near for unions?

Union membership for all US workers is under 12% now. In 1948 it was 32%, and there were no public sector unions. Now more than half of all union members are in the public sector.

part of the problem is that unionized jobs are just plain vanishing in the private sector because they loose out to non union competition. Coal mining was heavily union in the coalfields of PA and WVA. coal mining now is mostly in the west, and non union.

Autos were a huge component of the economy, all union. Now most of the cars are built by union labor in Mexico, Korea and Japan. But bought by non union labor here in the states.
