So the GOP pulled a fast one. Watching Rachael Maddow squirm and whine last night as this story broke was priceless. She described it as "pulling a rabbit out of a hat". Thats right. The GOP is full of winners, not whiners. The Dem's refused to come home and do their job, and instead fled and cried like angry 16 year old girls for a month. So....the GOP got it done and won. The union is busted, and likely will help the financial stability of the state of WI for decades. Also to follow....Idaho, Michigan, Ohio, Jersey, and others, are gonna follow. Maddow showed a chart in which something like 15-20 states have union-busting legislature ready to go, and some already passed it.

This will not only break up the thuggish, parasite-like unions, but it will do two other great things:

1- FINALLY, the workers in those states will have a right to work. In other words, they'll have the FREEDOME TO CHOOSE to send union dues or not. Freedom of choice is a wonderful thing. The discriminatory, intolerant unions refused to work next to a non-union "scab" for decades. Now, the "scabs" will have the right to simply show up and do their job....unlike Wisconsin Democrats.

2- Without the mandatory union dues, a huge percentage of the people won't voluntarily send money. Why would they? The Dept of Labor ensures fair labor conditions now. Unions are obsolete. They are ONLY in place as a fundraiser for the Democratic Party, and soon that is gonna be over.

And #2 is the reason Dems and MSNBC types are so enraged. They don't give two craps about a 30 year old math teacher. They care about the Democratic Party becoming drastically under-funded over the next 5-20 years and the GOP, with new allowances for corporations to spend money on candidates, having a massive financial advantage in the future. This spells doom for the Dems. And they are terrified.

I said 1.5 years ago that regardless of ideology, just pure tactics, Republicans are just better at this shit. They're better politicians. They're better at just winning. They are the types who were the high school football captains. Dems are the types that played art and music games through high school. 2 different types of people. And it's showing. The GOP won, and quite possibly set up victory for decades to come.

We shall see. But this is a huge first step. Bravo to the WI Governor and Senate for having the guts to stand up to the hordes of whiners and get the people's work done.

I'd say GOP sucker punches America would be a more accurate title. Every time the GOPers get some power they screw Americans...

Who is really getting screwed here?

The Dems set this all up with their ridiculous spending and now you all want to claim martyrdom?

Seems in this case they were too smart for their own good, and it backfired on them. They probably underestimated their opponent. Now these Democrats are screaming to high-heaven that they've been had, when in fact the whole exercise has been a White House led attempt to say "fuck you" to the voters of Wisconsin.
These worms left the state, holed up in Obama's state, and had no intention of doing their jobs.

Truth is, Democrats aren't even attempting to solve the many problems they have caused. They simply wanted to cause divisions and milk them for all they're worth. They seem to get more of what they want that way.

The inevitable globalization of the economies of the world guaranteed that unions would become obsolete.

Fact is life is hard. A guaranteed easy route through cozy union jobs and pensions were nice in the 50's and 60's, but they are no longer affordable. It was a fantasyland situation that a few generations got to enjoy, but the new reality is that we cant afford it any longer.

The GOP is simply taking the steps that are necessary to keep us above water and competitive. Democrats just have to get over it.

They wanted higher taxes. They couldn't get it so now they want to make the GOP look like heartless bastards.

These people aren't even a viable part of this society because all you can expect from them is dishonesty and trickery, and now they're whining because they got tricked this time.

It's like dealing with a cheating husband. Eventually it gets to the point where you have to just divorce yourself from them because they will never change.

We just have to learn that we have to treat Democrats and union members like children. They'll whine, cry, stomp around the house, refuse to do their chores or job. But in the end, us adults must hold our ground and tell them the infamous childhood reality...."Do you think money grows on trees?"

Well, Dems, no. Money doesn't grow on trees. We're broke. You're gonna have to just play with your old toys because mommy and daddy can't afford any more.

omg, Morning Joe's bunch of crybaby liberals is toooo damn funny!! That moron Donny Douche is whining like a 12 month old without mommy's teat. The liberal mob in Madison is a black eye on this country. It's very telling to see liberals all up in arms over not getting their special perks. TOO DAMN BAD. The party is over. .. there's NO MONEY, PERIOD. Now STFU and behave like a normal and decent human being or sit your asses in a jail cell.

It's pretty sad that we're at the point where a large part of the country isn't interested in getting us out of debt.

This is why socialism will never work in this country. Too many dishonest people here.

Right now over 30% of all Americans live off of the government and give nothing back in return. They don't want anyone to touch their stuff. Screw somebody else but leave my stuff alone. I need Cowboy Poetry to survive.

They are also outraged because while being told there is no money for their sweetheart union perks and jobs where they basically show up, breathe and get paid............they also see rich people.

And when they hear "We can't afford it" and then see rich people, their automatic thought is "Well just TAKE some money from those rich people so you can afford it!".

Well, that is when the left's tyrannical gene comes out. And it's starting to poke it's head.

Problem is they're definition of rich floats all over the place.

What is to be considered rich in a year? Making $100k? They say they want to screw millionaires but their tax-code includes singles that make $200k. It's just a bait and switch scam.
