Why won't schools teach all the theories?

Today, our children are being denied true educations. The Liberals are denying them proper discourse about all the theories about disease. Have you ever seen any textbook that said 'Germ Fact of Disease'? No! They all say 'Germ Theory of Disease', because that's exactly what it it- a theory! Just because you find something foreign in someone's body doesn't mean it's the cause of the disease- that's a correlation, even if a strong one. It doesn't prove the theory any more than finding the same SNPs in any two animals proves they 'evolved' from something else. All it proves is that two people with the same disease also have the same foreign bodies in their system.

Children need to be taught all the theories, including the Demonic Theory of Disease, so they can make up their own minds. Liberal Atheists need Germ Theory to be true so they can deny God, but Germ Theory can't explain all the facts- like Jesus and the blessed among the faithful being able to cure disease without 'modern medicine' (atheist magic). Demonic theory explains how diseases spread, why they exist in the first place (wouldn't any ecosystem in which parts of the system kept killing other parts be at an 'evolutionary' disadvantage? The world should have 'evolved' into one where things coexist- like they did in Eden- not one where 'germs' kill the very hosts they need to survive :cuckoo:), and how they were cured in the past when 'medicine' and Athiest Liberal scientists (Atheist priests) say it should have been impossible.

Germs are a theory. That's why it's called Germ Theory. Teach both theories and let people decide for themselves!

Yeah it is a bitch, My grandchildren have not been taught about the flying Spaghetti Monster either.

I remember we told about all the different things scientists believed at various times. Things like alchemy, and the theory that "bad air" (Malaria) caused illness, and about the four humors theory of health, which meant that doctors would bleed patients to make them better.

A lot of times, to understand where we are, you have to know where we have been and how we got here.

The big lesson I remember about science education was that it was not about the answers or the theories, but about the process of understanding. Proof was more important than assertion. And argument to authority was a fallacy.

I think the word you were looking for is 'miasma'

We learned about all the different religion and theories in high school, and my friends little brother took the same class two years ago. So I call bullshit on liberals not letting them be taught in school, for one I live in a very blue state.

Demonic Theory of Disease??????????????

Is this "satire"?

KANSAS CITY, KS—As the debate over the teaching of evolution in public schools continues, a new controversy over the science curriculum arose Monday in this embattled Midwestern state. Scientists from the Evangelical Center For Faith-Based Reasoning are now asserting that the long-held "theory of gravity" is flawed, and they have responded to it with a new theory of Intelligent Falling.

Some evangelical physicists propose that Intelligent Falling provides an elegant solution to the central problem of modern physics.
"Anti-falling physicists have been theorizing for decades about the 'electromagnetic force,' the 'weak nuclear force,' the 'strong nuclear force,' and so-called 'force of gravity,'" Burdett said. "And they tilt their findings toward trying to unite them into one force. But readers of the Bible have already known for millennia what this one, unified force is: His name is Jesus."

Because I asked if it were "satire"?

Considering the last line on the post was:

"The only church that illuminates is the one that burns"

I have a pretty good what time it is. Perhaps it's a bit quick to call someone "stupid"? The truth is, many conservatives actually feel this way.

scientific theories are different than run of the mill crackpot theories.

eg. the theory of evolution is buttressed by many facts but is limited in scope. it describes the progress of life once it was started but fails to explain the beginning of life itself. this leaves a hole that can be filled with intelligent design but intelligent design is not explainable by facts, therefore it is not a scientific theory just a run of the mill type of theory.

the germ theory of infection has been proven by the (?) Koch Postulates but some specific disease states such as AIDS can't be proven because it is unethical to directly infect an individual with HIV.

Proletarian,

You're a coward. You want them taught creationsim amd you weasle around it in your post. You are the atypical Conservative Christian wack job who believe your "man in the sky" should be taught to everyone. You are a dangerous person, as deangerous as any Muslim fundamentalist. If you want to live in a theocratic state move to Israel or Iran. Otherwise stop preaching your crazy theories to people. You make me sick.

stupid would be a significant upgrade.

I guess I'll have to keep an eye out for your, well, I'm sure it can be only described as "brilliant literature".

The last line in the post was 'Teach both theories and let people decide for themselves!'.

Dumbass.

Religion (creationism) is for the Church to teach. It (religion) has no place in the Public (tax payer) funded school system. If you want to live in a theocracy move to the Republic of Ireland, Iran, or Ira, or Saudi Arabia. In those countries religion is force fed in schools.

I have no problem teaching Biblical Creationism in school. The teacher need only say, the Bible in Genesis says the earth and all living things were created in 6 days by an all-powerful supernatural being. Science has found no evidence for this...

...now we will move on to the theory of Evolution...

The big lesson I remember about science education was that it was not about the answers or the theories, but about the process of understanding. Proof was more important than assertion. And argument to authority was a fallacy.

Until there was the Scientific Method, there were no scientists. In fact, scientist is a new word, prior to the invention of the Scientific Method, they were called Natural Philosophers.

Are scientists wearing blinkers?

If you have such an idea, remember that the burden of proof is on you. The new theory should explain the existing data, provide new predictions and should be testable; remember that all scientific theories are falsifiable. Read the articles and improve your theory in the light of your new knowledge. Starting a scientific revolution is a long, hard slog. Don't expect it to be easy. If it was, we would have them every week. People putting forward extraordinary claims often refer to Galileo as an example of a great genius being persecuted by the establishment for heretic theories. They claim that the scientific establishment is afraid of being proved wrong, and hence is trying to suppress the truth. This is a classic conspiracy theory. The Conspirators are all those scientists who have bothered to point out flaws in the claims put forward by the researchers. The usual rejoinder to someone who says ``They laughed at Columbus, they laughed at Galileo'' is to say ``But they also laughed at Bozo the Clown''

Abiogenisis is the precursor of evolution. An interesting and developing field.

Dumbass.

That is so funny, I wrote,

Considering the last line on the post was:

"The only church that illuminates is the one that burns"

and then you wrote:

The last line in the post was 'Teach both theories and let people decide for themselves!'.

Dumbass.

Followed by:

"The only church that illuminates is the one that burns"

...now we will move on to the theory of Evolution...

What about, "Early Americans, before white people, believed that people started out as "corn" and the Sun God touched the ears of corn and the first people "popped" into existence?" But of course, there is no direct evidence that is true, so, for now, we will move on to the "unproven" theory of evolution....

How does that work?

Or, we could just start off with, "Good morning class, today we will begin the study of evolution, one of the most documented theories in all of modern science".
