Why white Americans don’t see themselves when they hear the word ‘race’

There is only one relevant question for African Americans to assess: Is my race holding me back?

Who gives a shit if some white cracker "hates" me? (To be honest, hate takes some emotional energy, and even "racists" don't hate black people, they just consider them inferior).

The fact is that black skin is holding almost no one back in this country, and in fact for the Black people who have their eyes open, that same skin color can be a significant advantage.

But a significant part of American "Black Leadership" is convincing people that they are victims and can't help themselves. It is sad, really.

I can tell you didn't watch the video. It isn't about the question(s) black folks need to answer. Hell, the thread topic isn't even about black folks.

It is sad. Black and white political leaders, like Hillary, promote black grievance merely to enrich and empower themselves. This is clear to some of us, but apparently is missed by many.

I don't define myself by my race.
Nor do I.

I think of myself as a highly educated and well trained person who can do anything needed even if not an expert in any particular given thing.

My expertise lies mostly in my M.S. degree topic.

But I can adapt to almost anything else.

Negroes and Mexicans have literacy issues.

Asians seem to get around their own literary issues. They're good with numbers.

Mexicans are good at manual labor up to and including construction.

Negroes are rarely good at anything. They sometimes bootstrap themselves to success like BH Obama has. There are a few others as well by proportion. Recall however in BHO's case that he is only really 12 1/2 % Negro. The rest is white (50%) and Arab (36%).

Race is therefore an issue but mostly and issue for the individual minority peoples themselves.

I grew up in the waning years of the sixties, I remember blacks justifying their brand of race hate because of white racism. We keep perpetuating that that NOW. Blows me away all the double standards we have now. The high black on black murders, the high black crime rate. White cops are all bad, though, racial profiling is bad. Depends on who's shoe the foot is on,dosen't it?

Racism is an issue only if you allow it to be. The truth is, there are a lot of people in this world who will use any excuse to step on you and the reason doesn't really matter. Nothing wrong with trying to address the misbehavior of others done to you or another person, within legal means. But don't be looking for trouble or misbehavior that has not occurred yet. Not every person who is different from you hates you or will step on you, and not every person who does look like you is your friend either. These days I think most people have enough trouble without looking for it.

Well.....the Democrats/Liberals/Left certainly does want it to always be an issue....even though Republicans ended slavery seven generations ago.

"Tribalism [identity politics]...is the most divisive way to run a country.
....Tribalism is not about ideas, it is based instead, on immutable characteristics, it is inherently unreasonable.
There is no winning arguments, or even having arguments....there is only victory or defeat for the group you belong to.

Every group finds itself at war with every other group.
It is the perfect perversion of the American ideal."
Tucker Carlson

Not “E Pluribus Unum.”....out of many, one....but the very opposite: out of one, many.

It is the splintering of our nation, the balkanization known as multiculturalism, and the end of America....non-existent 'racism' is their tool.

No iteration of the Left,....Liberals, Socialists, Progressives, Democrats, whatever....can be considered truly American.
To them, their power is far more important than the survival of this noble experiment, America.

IMHO the Dems are using as many divisive issues as they can as a political weapon against the Repubs, to the detriment of the country as a whole. Undeserved, but it matters not to them. Anything for a vote and let's not let the truth stand in the way of acquiring power.

Most "whites" go through their day, to day routine; without giving any consideration to their own skin color. Blacks obsess about not being white. The race problem is theirs. They as a majority are just not smart enough to realize that our penchant for success, and achievement is rooted in our behavior; not our skin color.

Simple. Brainwashing. Identifying as a RACE means you are part of something bigger than yourself you are part of a people of a tribe of a culture etc. Jews don't want whites to identify as a tribe because a tribe is stronger than an individual and can accomplish much more.
