CDZ Why was the fully automatic firing system banned?

Arguing that money alone should be the arbiter of weapon accessibility is so utterly absurd that no one with the slightest idea of what society is and how it functions could even propose it without laughing at the joke.

Especially when the person espousing that idea go's to such great pains to denigrate the rich (supposedly), and claim that a socialist world is the ideal.
I have no problem with the rich, just the greedy a******GOP type who are robbing the the country and the NoN rich blind while brainwashing half the country. They are a disgrace.

Well that's a hoot. I myself have a problem with the greedy
a******Democrat types who feel that they have every right to pick my pockets and redistribute what I've worked so hard for, while their running-dog media tries to brainwash half the country.

At least we have something in common.

Arguing, even engaging with, people (such as francoHFW) who are completely blinded by hate filled partisanship is an exercise in futility. You will NEVER convince them they are incorrect, and they will NEVER convince you that they may have a valid point. The only way to effectively deal with extremists, of any kind, is to ignore them and keep them on the fringes of society, where they can do the least harm. Unless, and until, they take up arms, then kill them dead.

True. Arguing with a leftist is as futile as trying to teach a pig to tap dance.

Too bad your facts are all wrong, Dupe. The richest Pay no more percentage wise than the middle class so we don't have enough money to invest in America and Americans. For 30 years now. All your scandals about Hillary Obama holder etc etc are phony. You are conspiracy nuts by definition.

Your limited knowledge of simple economics is humorous. You seriously believe that there's a shortage of money to invest in America because upper-income earners aren't paying enough in taxes to suit you?

Even though the top bracket of earners in this country pays the majority of the revenue in to the government?

Just stop. Your idiocy in painful.

John Kerry on with your hate for America.

Irrelevant... They become less numerous all the time according to your own stats... They are already well regulated. End of story.

So if that are already "well regulated", what's your problem with any law-abiding citizen owning them?

Likewise, if there are already laws on the books which disqualifies criminals from purchasing firearms, what makes you think that additional laws would also work?
The regulation that is good is that they are no longer produced for civilians and are no longer a threat d u h.

Obviously the laws need more teeth d u h. Something is really wrong with your brains, dupes.

They never were a threat....duh. The gangsters stole them from the cops, and the military, but they rarely did anything to the civilian population with them. Most criminals knew back then to leave the civilian population alone. Which is why when there was an aberration, such as bonnie and clyde, or jesse james, who actively sought to kill civilians, they were reviled and hunted down fairly quickly because the general population hated them.
Actually if you had the money you could buy them no no problem. Civilians having machine guns is idiotic. Just be glad collectors can get them and they can't be produced anymore for civilian use.

I own five of them. I used to own a lot more of them but when they jumped in value to absurd levels I sold the bulk of my collection and bought a airplane and hangar with the money. Why do you believe it is idiotic for civilians to own guns that PROVABLY have not been used in crime. Since the NFA was passed back in 1934 the only recorded instance of a legally owned machinegun being used to commit a crime was a POLICEMAN who murdered his wife with one.
I'm also wondering why the liberal idiots think a fully automatic gun gives criminals superhuman powers. The North Hollywood bank robbers had lots of scary "military style" guns and plenty of time to use them but killed exactly 0 people.

You want to hear something really stupid?

They passed that really dumbass bump stock ban here in Florida. Idiot!

The wording was such that binary triggers were included.

I have a binary trigger and it is illegal now and I will have to get rid of it.

However, meanwhile my Class III M-16 machine gun is perfectly legal.

Another example of the stupidity of the frigging government. They don't know their head from a hole in the ground for these idiotic laws they passed.

I'm going to agree with this one.

For auto and gun regulations you really need to bring in someone who knows about them. I remember the assault weapons ban of the 90's being equally idiotic.

Reminds me of movies where they have to work on a car and obviously the director knows less about working on cars than I know about making movies. Didn't ANYONE there think about speaking up and saying "It would look better if we do this"

There just has to be SOMEONE who knows something about guns who could have been consulted.

I don't think that possession of any gun should ever be a crime. After all we have the Bill of Rights that says that the right to keep and bear arms shall not be infringed. Banning guns (or gun parts) is certainly infringing under any interpretation of that definition.

The crime should be the illegal act with the gun.

Incorrect. As I said, arguing with an extremist (regardless of their political/spiritual persuasion) is futile. I have had several discussions with "leftists" (as well as Atheists) over the years that were far from futile. In fact, Many of these discussions caused me to reevaluate my position on the topic at hand. Isn't that the point though? If that is not the point for any individual, then discussion with them is futile, and generally speaking, it will devolve rather quickly into a win/lose argument that does little, if any, good for either party.

Really we could work together here probably better than our representatives. I'm used to automatic weapons being regulated to the ends of the earth and probably want to keep that. Any toy which in effect makes a semi-auto an auto is against the spirit of the law.

I absolutely love the death penalty or at least the threat of it.

The line must be drawn someplace, but I say every robbery or worse committed with a gun on your person and you stand a 5% chance of getting executed decided by a wheel spin. Its 100% equal and fair that way.

We can expand the "castle" laws of property and welfare protection. If someone is breaking into my house where my kids live and they get shot and die, I think I should be able to sue THEIR ESTATE for trauma.

I'm not totally in love with open carry BUT, if you give me that death penalty rule I'd back a Constitutional Amendment allowing it in all 50 states.

Also I'm pretty "small government" with the pot thing. It is about like alcohol, someways better, some worse. But I think allowing conceal and open carry when stoned or drunk is probably a bad idea. And if either doesn't affect you then why did you bother drinking that beer or buying that fancy bong?
