Why was Hannity not afforded the right to privacy every American is supposed to get?

Hannity isn't a client. If anything Cohen and his attorney threw him under the bus by naming him as one. My guess is that Cohen fluffed up his list with a big name he gave advice to sometimes, not knowing the FBI would raid his office, and the names would be presented in court.
The names should have been sequestered not publicly announced like some kind of circus act.

He wasn't "publicly humiliated". Other people's name are unwittingly dragged into investigations all the time. Except many times they aren't throwing themselves in front of a camera on a daily basis like Hannity does anyways. If he did nothing wrong it's a complete non-story.

If you've done nothing wrong....

A terrible excuse for giving up your rights.

What the hell is going on with our judicial system when the need to publicly humiliate someone exceeds their right to privacy?
He has been accused of no crime, yet the system is trying to publicly shame him like some list made public of deadbeat dads or child molesters.

How can ANY of you cheer this bullshit?

Just ask Timmy. Apparently when you are a "public figure" and someone doesn't like you, all your rights fly out the door (The Left's Vision For A New America where you are only left alone if you tow their line). Frankly I find it pretty disturbing that a judge ORDERED Cohen to reveal his clients PUBLICLY, and that Hannity has to defend who he uses as an attorney?

This country is getting FUCKED UP and it is the Left that is doing it.

But they refuse to see it until the same methods are used against one of THEIR beloved. Let the DOJ et al start tearing apart Hillary or Obama's personal life and they would be screaming like BANSHEES.

Cohens lawyer was the one who chose to disclose the name. Judge Wood gave the lawyer the choice of writing it down ot stating it openly, and he chose to state it openly.

The judiciary are supposed to be the arbiters of our rights. Relinquishing that authority to a random lawyer in a courtroom is absurd.

You can search a person's public records and find out their employer, their address, their phone number, their criminal record. Why of all these things that are public record should an attorney's client list be off limits? It is in a sense your employer.

The entire "Collusion" investigation has devolved into "We've got to get Trump on something". Any American should be appalled at the conduct of the FBI and AG Jeff Sessions to allow it. The FBI is operating like the secret police force of a totalitarian regime.

Keep scrambling

THe judge allowed the lawyer to keep the name secret, but Cohens lawyer chose to disclose it openly.

Why blame the judge for the actions of the lawyer?

Part of attorney-client privilege is a list of their clients. But this case is different, because it involves a search warrant on the lawyers office, so it becomes necessary to know the lawyers list of clients, to know which documents are covered by the privilege.

The way Cohens lawyers tried to get a temporary restraining order, meant they had to disclose the names of people covered by the privilege.

Because the judge is the man in control of that courtroom. It is HIS RESPONSIBILITY to uphold the values of our nation and protect the rights of the citizens.
He relinquished that responsibility to someone else in his courtroom.

Because he’s a public figure if his own volition . And a fraud .

Let me ask you this . Why can’t citizen Bill Clinton have a conversation with the AG?
Because the AG was investigating his wife dumbass.

Now answer the question in the op. On what grounds was Hannitys right to privacy violated?
The answer is that no ‘privacy’ was ‘violated.’

Your entire thread premise is a ridiculous, ignorant non-issue.

And you're in no position to refer to someone as 'dumbass.'

Do you want the judge to sanctions Cohens lawyer? Hold him in contempt for publicly disclosing the name? Throw him in jail for disclosing the name?

Where was Hannity's lawyer. He was responsible for keeping the name secret.

Oh.... That's Michael Cohen.

What a stupid fucking question.

Should the judge hold the lawyer responsible for exercising the freedom that the judge gave him to begin with....

We're done here

Judge Wood said she would accept the name under seal, or Cohens lawyer could state it openly.

The lawyer chose to state it openly.

No arms were twisted.

You seem focused on Hannity when he only matters to people who are looking for a reason to hate him anyways. Revealing that somebody represents you isn't an invasion of your privacy. I watched Hannity's response tonight. He didn't claim for a second that his privacy was violated. He's probably more annoyed that Cohen had him listed as a client when he claims he's not one.

Don't blame the judge, don't blame the system. Blame the lawyer.
