How “green policies” are burning the Golden State to a crisp.

jmh.jpg

As huge wildfires continued to devour forests, homes, and businesses across California over the weekend, President Trump lashed out at the destructive, deadly policies long pushed by environmentalists that set the stage for the Golden State’s now-routine fiery catastrophes.

“There is no reason for these massive, deadly and costly forest fires in California except that forest management is so poor,” President Trump tweeted Nov. 10 at 3:08 a.m. “Billions of dollars are given each year, with so many lives lost, all because of gross mismanagement of the forests. Remedy now, or no more Fed payments!”

On Nov. 11 at 4:40 a.m. he followed up with: “With proper Forest Management, we can stop the devastation constantly going on in California. Get Smart!”

In-between the two tweets, Trump used Twitter to urge people in the affected areas to “evacuate quickly,” praised the “[m]ore than 4,000” who are fighting the Camp and Woolsey Fires in California, and to express sympathy for the fire victims.

Idiot celebrities and clueless politicians weighed in across the fruited plain, eager to attack Trump.

“This is an absolutely heartless response,” singer Katy Perry naively tweeted. “There aren’t even politics involved. Just good American families losing their homes as you tweet, evacuating into shelters.”

California Gov.-elect Gavin Newsom (D), a strong supporter of the no-growth economic policies that caused the deadly fires, tweeted:

SNIP....

Although some may have found President Trump’s tweets about the poor quality of forest management in California jarring or ill-timed, that doesn’t change the fact that the evidence is on his side!

This is truly bi-partisan. California generally elects Republican governors.

Have you heard my idea for cutting down on natural event welfare? First time an earthquake, tornado, hurricane or fire hits your home you are eligible for disaster aid. We'll come save you from mother nature, put you in FEMA homes, whatever.

Second time, its a predictable event and capitalism says "good luck", no federal aid.

I agree. Private Insurance, not government.

Big changes are tough on the economy so I want to give people one last out. Also, if that earthquake hits Chicago or someplace unprepared I'm not TOTALLY heartless.

”all because of gross mismanagement of the forests”

Much of the fires are on federal land. Trump is really calling his own management, “gross.”

You can't do anything do diminish the severity of earthquakes, tornados, hurricanes etc but you can with wildfires. At a minimum you can create firebreaks around neighborhoods. If you choose to build a home in the middle of the woods, there isn't much that can be done about that. I don't understand why insurance companies stay out of fire management.

You’re quoting atheist Ayn Rand?

I was watching the head of the Firemans union on TV in California. He said Trump making these comments casting blame when people are dying it completely inappropriate. And he said he was so angry when he first spoke that if he had it to do all over again he would say exactly the same things.

He said first of all, these fires are on federal lands. So stop blaming California. California doesn’t manage these lands where the fire started. They are federal lands. Managed by the federal government.

He could’ve set a lot more. We know the budget was cut because Republicans need that money to give to billionaires. Everywhere you look where budgets have been cut the money went to tax cuts for billionaires. And Republicans on the USMB think that’s so fantastic. All those needy billionaires we helped out because they’re going to create jobs. Even though we have 7.1 million jobs now. More jobs than people looking for work.

So yeah let’s blame everything on California. Republicans think that works. Blame blame blame. Blame California, blame the Mexicans, blame the caravan, when the only people you can really blame are Republicans who are just fuking this country up from one end to the other.

How “green policies” are burning the Golden State to a crisp.

As Ayn Rand put it: "You can evade reality, but you cannot evade the consequences of evading reality."

Moonbat Brown "isnt" a republican.. Idiots on the left voted him back in even after the law said he couldn't, not realizing that the first time he was in, he fucked that state up royally then too. Liberals are all about party first, fuck the people, even if it kills them....elections have consequences and those morons of Californication, deserve all the misery the liberals are forcing upon them..

I know he isn't a Republican. I also know our modern land management techniques did not start with him. Heck, I even know some scientific tree names and some of the ones out that that benefit from the occasional cool forest fire.

Check out this list though: List of Governors of California - Wikipedia

California elects a good number of Republican governors. The state isn't as blue or crazy as many on here claim.
But you idiots are trying by all your sanctuary cities, and pushing to have illegals vote....sooner or later they will push you liberals out of what was once a great state! How many other states have cities with "poop patrols" to clean up shit left in the street like SF?

You are grasping too far here. We should just write our good libertarian representatives our ideas about only bailing folks out for this or that type of disaster once.

What happens if you call people names too often they just want to disagree with you.
Absolutely nothing!
