Why the Tea Party Failed to Produce a Credible Candidate

There sure are a lot od excuses for why the tea party republicans have fizzled where it counts.

The media attacks them..........boo hoo hoo.
They have too much integrity.......lol.
They are too careful in who the select.....super-vetters!
They don't have GOP support. Really.......lol.

How about the fact that 70% of America thinks the tea party republicans are an unfunny joke?

I think that anyone claiming to speak for 70% of anyone is disingenous...

TEA and OWS represent the same problem from different sides, the loss of faith in our institutions of government, economics and law. Things are bad, the worst they've been in most of our lifetimes, and no one seems to have an answer.

People are angry, and they aren't sure who they should be angry at.

I don't claim to speak for anyone. Just a number reflected in polls.

The Tea Party has NOT, in fact, failed where it counts.

Closing your eyes and pretending things are different than reality will not make reality go away.

Granted, President Obama was ineffectual (thankfully) even when he HAD a filibuster proof majority in the Senate and Democrat Parody control of the House. But the Tea PArty eliminated that set of resources for the President. Conveniently ignoring the Mid-Terms is not really gonna make you baseless argument any less insubstantial.

And the point is, the Tea Party is a movement. The strength of that movement is still right there. It can be turned on when necessary. And it will be necessary come the 2012 Elections. It can also be tapped for primaries.

Mocking the Tea Party is a ridiculous passtime for frustrated libs since the facts are such that those derisive efforts simply fall flat. The reason the President is floundering in the polls is because the American people are deeply unsatisfied with the way the Republic is getting run.

The ass clowns of the left may be content to continue with business as usual. ("What about the poor?! What about the BABIES? What about the elderly?") But America is not prepared to continue down the path of its own doom.

Same polls say most people are just as angry with the democrats and Republicans.

Then I guess that Obama is a REAL UNITER type of guy..

To those on the left, the Tea Party may be as dangerous as the National Socialist Party of Germany in the early 30's (Nazi's for the TM's of the world)? How does that make me feel? It makes me smile... and it lets me know that the left and more specific, the Democratic ruling elite, is listening. Additionally, the Tea Party is looked upon as bomb throwers and radical ideologues by the North-Eastern Republican elite. How does that make me feel? It makes me smile as much as the hatred from the left. To the Rockefeller and Huntsman Republicans, it's like the Tea Party is the uncle you don't want to come over for Thanksgiving dinner. He's family, but YOU JUST KNOW he's going to start something crazy like "you can't spend more than you earn."

Your polls say that 70% of Americans have a negative view of the Tea Party. Have you seen the demographics of that poll? Polls taken in the MIDDLE of the country show a very different result. And quite frankly I don't give a rat's ass what the Democrats or Republicans on the coasts feel about the Tea Party. Remember 2008? The south and the middle of the country went Tea Party Republican. Oklahoma, for the first time in its history (100 years plus), kicked out the Democratic legislature and governor and now has Republican's in the legislature and in the governors office. We have ONE Democratic Congressman and Dan Boren is more conservative than most of the Republicans in Congress. He voted AGAINST Obamacare and he gives the Democrats in the house fits. We LOVE him here. We don't care that he's a Democrat, he does what is right. And yes, I gave money to his campaign.

Nationally, the Republicans might not like the Tea Party holding their feet to the fire, but even Mitt Romney knows that without the Tea Party, he's not going anywhere. Remember the old saying, "Play to the base during the primary and then move to the center for the general election." In more than half of the primaries in this country, the Tea Party holds a lot of power in those states. And even if Mitt Romney gets the nomination, by his KNOWING that he has to have the Tea Party backing him, we have won a major victory.

Sit down Uncle Joe and have Thanksgiving dinner with us. But could you NOT beat us up over our spending policies, please? We promise to do better...

This article is horrible and wrong on several points... The establishment republicans made Sarah Palin, the media made Sarah Palin, and Sarah Palin made Sarah Palin. Sure she had some tea party support but as their are idiots in ever political party, their are some who supported her obvious catering to them. I recall her rising prominence through being McCain's VP, hardly an anti establishment rise.

Second was the Bachmann part. The Tea Party did not endorse her, the tea party isn't unified like that to endorse her. I really wish you guys would stop trying discredit a serious point of view just because you don't like it. I couldn't read anymore after that, this guy is talking about something and a people he does not know or understand.

Anyone who thinks otherwise is equally misinformed.

Very true, both of those two air heads were and are manufactured candidates. Manufactured by the media and manufactured by the establishment. Ripe for consumption by the masses.

Reject the establishment. Ron Paul 2012.
