and about this socialist paradise called the military, I was in it. You have no rights, and they can tell you to go shoot the bad guy and lose your life in the process, so I would agree, that is a great example of what it means to live under true socialism. However the military is not really a good example of western socialism, the military uses discipline and makes people work at the threat of imprisonment. Western liberals have no interest in work or discipline.

Capitalist solution to security would be where we the people pay PRIVATE, profit driven companies like Blackwater to do what our millitary does. That doesn't work, which is why we have an army operated as a socialist organization, not driven by bottom line.

In the OP, which I encourage newcomers in the thread to read, it is explained why some people embrace Socialism. It because you lack confidence in your ability to compete with others. This is evident in the nature of your replies. You want to shame people who achieve success. You want them to feel bad for being successful. In the movie I spoke of in the OP, the father shamed his daughter for wanting to raise lambs on her own. He told her that she must not love her family. He sought to extinguish her desire for self-accomplishment by making her feel ashamed of that. The reason was his own insecurities and lack of confidence in his ability to compete.
