Why The ISIS Brits Should Not Be Tried In Britain

Where? To be tried?
If Britain had an arrest warrant for them because they allegedly murdered British citizens. Then the pair should be tried in Britain. .....
But it looks like they have done nothing in the UK. The alleged offences took place in the Middle East. That is where they should be tried,if they can get a fair trial. If they cant then take them to the Hague.

There is a precedent for bringing back murderers to the UK and the US for trial.

Muslims will always kill Christians, it is The Commandment N 1 in Quran
Please provide chapter and verse in Qur'an where it says that?

Thank you. ....

They no longer deserve the rights that come with citizenship.

We still seem unsure about what to do with our enemies. Last week, heated debate raged about how to deal with the ‘ISIS Beatles’ Alexanda Kotey and El Shafee Elsheikh, two ex-British citizens who became infamous for beheading Western civilians in Syria on behalf of ISIS. The two men were captured by the US-backed Syrian Democratic Forces a few weeks ago.

Ever since their capture, Western governments have been struggling to work out what to do with them. The UK defence secretary Gavin Williamson says the pair should not be returned to Britain for trial here. US defence secretary James Mattis says they will not be imprisoned in Guantanamo Bay. This week, UK home secretary Amber Rudd said she was ‘absolutely committed to making sure that they will face trial’ but would not be drawn on where.

Due process is a vital principle of Western law. It has been relentlessly attacked in recent years, with everything from the presumption of innocence to the right to trial by jury being gradually undermined by successive governments. But the idea that we should try these men, or anyone else fighting for ISIS, in a British court is not a victory for due process. In fact, it would be an aberration of due process. The idea that these men should be tried in one of our courts as if they committed an ordinary crime further undermines the principles of due process.

Considering ISIS are not a legit Army there is no need to adhere to any of The Geneva Conventions with these monsters, just execute them, I think if a poll taken then 80% of populations would agree the only ones who would not agree are the Pro-Islamist Leftist Maniacs who are a minority and big supporters of all Terrorists from IRA to ETA to PLO to Hezbollah to Hamas and now ISIS.

The writer of your cutnpaste suggests that they should just be taken out the back and shot. What a learned fellow he is.

They should be tried in the country where they committed their crimes. If this is not possible then the obvious solution would be the Hague.

Do you have an opinion on this ?
Good idea. Try them in Syria. Excellent!

No if tried in any Middle East nation they will be released.

Then they must be tried in a court of law a civilian court of law.. They can't be held indefinitely without due process...This is a problem the US has put off dealing with...
