Why the debates are devastating for Obama

Historically, no one with Obama's economic record should even be in the race at this point. He's been able to stay barely in the front because of the media's never ending quest to elect the Democrat. They've portrayed Romney as a minor candidate who's not on a par with the Presidency. The reason the debates are devastating for Obama is simple, it strips away that veneer. A tie would have put Romney in the lead, he kept up with the President. That he handed Obama his head is devastating, it belies the media's portrayal.

The same thing happened in 1980, the media portrayed Reagan as a not ready for prime time candidate. He was losing in October. Once the people saw he was prepared to be President, he won convincingly. I'm not predicting Romney will be the President Reagan was, just that he's in a very similar situation, and it's going to lead to the exact same result. Obama is toast, even a complete lap dog media for the left can't fix that now.

It was odd how Romney destroyed Obama in the first debate but then seemed to just whimper through the last 2. It's like he didn't even try.
