Why sex harassment allegations at fox gives reason to adopt Mike Pence rules. Thx Matt Walsh

Matt Walsh: The ‘harassment’ allegations at Fox only prove the wisdom of Mike Pence’s policy

Love much of what Matt Walsh has to say. Makes a great point here, the Mike pence rules are one way to avoid sexual harassment in general or accusations...whether you're a public figure or a Joe Schmo. For women, usually sexual harassment occurs when nobody else is around, and if nobody else is around it turns into a he said she said. Something to think about lefties.

Most libs. are likely having a difficult time wrapping their heads around this subject. On one hand all Fox News is bad, while on the other all Republicans are bad, including Mike Pence.

getting silly , Pense can observe his self imposed rule for himself and he will avoid any sexual accusation all his life . Seems smart to me .

Gosh golly whiz, the most effective way to avoid a charge of sexual harassment is to NOT BE A SEXIST PIG.

Do you make passes at men you work with? Don't make passes at women in business situations - ever. It's totally inappropriate. Treat the women you're working with with the same way you'd treat the men - as professionals, and as colleagues.

Here's the problem with "Mike Pence rules" - it eliminates women from any job where they might be required to be alone with their boss, or have a private dinner with the boss, or to travel, unaccompanied with the boss, and relegates them to lower paying positions and less responsibility. He can't hire a female advisor or campaign manager, regardless of how well qualified.

And as always, it blames the women for male behaviour.

Some who sexually harass women actually believe they are flirting, even when they touch the object of their attention she cringes. That suggests pathology. Years and years ago there was a singles bar in San Francisco (Pierce St. Annex) where this sign hung prominently:

NO means NO!

Lounge lizards, narcissist, sociopaths and worse, who didn't get the message were tossed out to applause by guys and gals.
What does this have to do with anything?

What does VP Pence's opinion have anything to do with sexual harassment and domestic violence?

Read the OP

What? What a total non sequitur. Your position is that because there is no one on ones, a woman is disqualified from being hired in a certain position?!? Bull plop. His position is that one on ones are not necessary, that does not exclude women from any position at all. A high ranking position under pence, does not mean that one on ones are completely necessary

And yes you should treat coworkers as strictly colleagues...but even so what's to stop one from claiming sexual harassment. Again, hospitals do this now, whenever there's an examination of genitalia, wether it's a male or female doctor or patient, another person is required to be in the room. This isn't because doctors can't help themselves, it's to stop people from false accusations looking for an easy settlement.

what are his rules?
Segregation by sex?

The rules he was criticized for, like never having a one on one meeting with a women unless someone else wasn't present. That was the main one, I think there were a couple others.
So your solution is to make it harder for everyone because a few men cant help from being perverted assholes?
-------------------------------------------------- goes both ways doesn't it ?? Lots of 'gold diggers' , women out there willing to lie at the drop of a hat TNHarley !!

Even more asshole men willing to lie about their behaviour at the drop of a hat - Donald Trump and the pussy grabbing tape being a prime example. After several women confirmed his story, he called them liars, even though they the statute of limitations had passed, they couldn't have them charged and they couldn't sue, so they had NO REASON to lie.

O'Reilly also denied the allegations even as FOX was paying out millions to his accusers. Why would they pay these women if the allegations aren't true.

Men lie about sex all of the time - they lie and say they got it when they didn't, and they lie and say they didn't do it when they rape or assault women. The lie when they cheat, and they lie to the women they cheat with. When it comes to sex, men rarely tell the truth.

And tons and tons of companies/organizations settle cases on BS allegations of this or that they know are false or undeserving...because a lot of times, it's a lot cheaper in the long run to do so.

Or are you suggesting that Bill Clinton did indeed assault Paula jones, because he settled with her for 850,000?

Yes and public schools have an kindergarten teacher and an assistant so that if they have to wipe small bums, that doesn't get ugly too, but I can't recall a single instance at a business dinner, and I've been to a lot of them over the years, where my genitals have been exposed. We're talking about going to a public restaurant together - with other people all around - waiters, other diners, staff.

And yes, that is EXACTLY what Mike Pence said - he never goes out to dinner alone with a female co-worker under any circumstances. That disqualifies women for lots of jobs.

During his 12 years in Congress, Pence had rules to avoid any infidelity temptations, or even rumors of impropriety. Those included requiring that any aide who had to work late to assist him be male, never dining alone with a woman other than his wife, and not attending an event where alcohol is served unless Karen was there.

So yes, Pence avoids having women work late alone with him, which most certainly would disqualify any women required to work late with him, from getting a job,

Analysis | Mike Pence doesn’t dine alone with other women. And we’re all shocked.

I take it you didn't read the article you posted hahaha.
"If nothing else, the commentary from the left about Parker's tweet confirms the initial reactions of those on the right: that plenty of people in the United States simply don't understand them and have dismissed them as Neanderthals — deplorables, even. The fact that this kind of arrangement is so foreign and unthinkable to some people in this country reinforces what separate worlds we live in."

And no it does not exclude women from high ranking positions, it just means there are no one on ones, an easy problem to solve, especially for a Vice President... oh brother. And seriously read the article before you post it.

Okay, I reread the OP. My take is your syntax is sophomoric and your point is...well, Duh. If no one is around, he said, she said becomes an issue of credibility of the two witnesses.

That obvious point said, if there are two, three or a dozen other who come forward and make the same allegations, the she (usually) said testimony becomes more credible. Examples of Bill Cosby, Bill Clinton and Bill O'Reilly provide reference.

It seems the Pence Doctrine is - if I understood it - is don't do anything in front of witnesses, if you alone it's fine.

I guess you must have missed the whole criticism of pences not doing one on one meetings, working late, dinners, etc. with women. So there's never being an issue of being alone without a witness in the first place, which isn't the reason why he does it, but it is a side benefit.
