Why Saudi Arabia is Important

Iran is in the midst of a power play in the region. They are Shia Muslims and the rest of Muslim world is Sunni. Saudi Arabia can help push back. Persia has tried to stamp out western civilization since the time of Ancient Greece. The Obama administration allowed Iran to have a nuclear weapons program and they have already stated publically that they want to destroy Israel. Iran is allied with Russia and North Korea. As a "state sponsor of terrorism" Iran would have no doubts about giving a nuke to terror groups that would blow up a major US city.

Obama is no longer the President.

The Shia expansion was a direct result of Bush's war.

The Syrian and Yemen wars are the Saudi led Sunni push back.

Iran doesn't have a nuclear weapons program.

We also should not forget who helped Iran during the Iraq war. Halliburton. Halliburton was in Iran helping them produce more oil which made them more money that helped them finance the iEDs that were killing our soldiers. Thank you dick Cheney.

Well you're not completely wrong, just mostly.

ISIS was created in 2005 from the remnants of Saddam's army, which Bush fired, but allowed to keep their weapons. They teamed up with an offshoot of Al Qaeda that even Bin Laden considered too extreme, to form the nucleus of ISIS.

Obama didn't botch the exit, Bush botched the occupation, and the Exit Agreement. He failed to win the hearts of the Iraqi people by bringing in outside contractors to rebuild the country instead of hiring desperate and hungry Iraqis to do the work.

Bush made life WORSE for everyday Iraqis than Saddam ever had. They at least had jobs, food and clean water under Saddam.

The rise of Iran is also due to the power vacuum created by taking out Saddam. Anytime you take out a strong man, someone will come forward to fill that vacuum. See also Libya. And it's about to happen with Assad, as well.

This is not to say these were great men who were good for their countries, but when you take out a strong man with no idea of what comes after, it's not going to end well.

As for D, Iran no longer has a nuclear program. And I believe in inspections and verifications.

ISIS formed after sectarian violence escalated with the election of a new Shi'a President. Bush was not even President when we pulled out without a SOF agreement. Baathist were integrated back into the government when mistake was discovered. ISIS formed on Obama's watch.
