Palin has Obama beat in the experience department hands down. Community Organizer as opposed to running a State?? No brainer. Of course Ol'BO was a Senator but only voted present and was too busy running for President to bother with the mundane.


Sarah Palin doesn't have an Ivy League education. She has 5 kids and she loves to hunt. Not exactly a liberal or feminists idea of Presidential material. NO Sarah Palin got where she is by hard work and not being afraid to take on big oil and her own State GOP . Sure her State doesn't have a big population but it still has to be run and she did a great job at that. Why did she quitt?? I've heard it was because she kept getting sued and it was costing her and her State big time. She beat all the suets but finacially she couldn't cope on Governors pay. Was it right to Quitt?? I would have done the same thing.
Should her State suffer financaially because she's a target of every Palin hater out there. As for the mud slinging. Sure a lot of that and not only at her but at her kids. That I wouldn't tolerate either and neither would anyone else on this board be they Dem or Rep.

I like her and always have. Will she run for President?? Don't know. Personally, if it were me, I would tell them all to fuck off. Media included and continue to do my own thing.

I think she scares the shit out of the liberals because she is such a polarizing figure and wherever she goes she draws huge crowds who want to hear what she has to say. 2012?? Guess we'll just have to wait and see.

you're right about almost everything there... but she never said she could see Russia from her house. That was Tina Fey. What she did say was that she understands foreign policy because "Alaska shares a maritime border with Russia". Almost as stupid a thing to say, but not nearly as pithy.

Palin explained clearly and precisely why she stepped down as governor and it had nothing to do with things being too tough for her personally. As well explained at the time, she made an executive decision which was in the best interest of those she served. It certainly did nothing to help her political career, so in reality, she harmed her self to create a better situation for those she served. Hmmm, isn't that exactly what we expect from our executives?

Please stop it with the cheap propaganda. You have absolutely no facts to support your claim except a cheap partisan smear tactic.

As I said, I am certainly not touting her for the White House, but let the truth stand. In each executive position she has held she achieved goals which those she served were pleased with and wanted. Her approval ratings at the time spoke loudly to her success and to this truth!

Again, isn't that the expectations of the executive branch? Be it local, state or federal. ahuh

She didn't quit her job and move into seclusion. If that were the case, you'd be right. She left her position becasue she unable to continue being a champion from Alaska. I think the fact that she is on the news every other day and still doing the book and interviews as well as speaking on behalf of her issue is proof she is moving forward. HOW IS THAT QUITING??? If you work at 7-11 and you find that you can make more money and evoke more change by moving around, are you a quitter becasue you left 7-11??? The Left was using her govnorship of AK as joke anyway like, "that's not a real state"! So now they need to deal with her on their own turf.

How convenient that you skip over the 8 years of lunatic lefties bashing Bush for every little move he made or didn't make just because of the R beside his name. I think both sides should quit whining about their politicians, they're all big boys and can handle it or they wouldn't be there to begin with. The question boils down to what is legitimate criticism and what is not. So far, Obama has given us plenty of things to legitimately criticize. All I heard during the Bush years was the horrendous deficit and the war. Here we are today with a quadrupled deficit and troops still deployed and the people who were all over Bush for those very same two particular topics are now hypocrites and defending Obama. If Bush were still in office, they would have been all over him for these things. These types of people need to seriously question their motives and their integrity for so blatantly changing what you will support or tolerate simply because of the letter behind the name.

Dirty politics and a slanderous media created a situation where her position as Alaska's top executive was made ineffective, in regard to the best interest of those she served. Period.

So she did what any responsible executive would be expected to do. She made a decision which would benefit those she served.
