In regards to term limits and earmarks.

To attack Ron Paul for “playing the game” in line with the rules that are in place today would be like attacking Ron Paul on paying income tax when he wants to do away with it. How Ron Paul feels the system should work is not how it is works today. Do you agree with earmarks, do you agree no term limits? Do you agree with the income tax or maybe the Iraq, Afghanistan, Libya wars?… Now if you happen to not agree with one or more of the above how does that change the reality that we are in? If you pay taxes you are paying for all of that and by TPS logic I could argue anyone who pays taxes agrees with everything Obama or Bush has done.

Excuse me, but Boehner put forth a "no earmark" pledge and GUESS WHO BROKE IT?

Thats one thing I like about Ron Paul, he is so easy to defend cause he isnt pretending like so many people are. Its easy to find videos where he lays his opinions out because he actually has opinions that are pro america, and not pro business like everyone else. When it was exposed he claimed he never read his own newsletter.

Given Ron Pauls record I think its safe to say that an arguement that Ron Paul doesnt know the constitution deserves no response unless evidence is offered.

I find it interesting that Paul doesn’t even MENTION Reagan’s contribution to the demise of the Soviet Union. It was that very defense spending he’s whining about that contributed to the Soviet Union’s demise. Reagan deliberately pushed the arms war to the point where the Soviet Union could not keep up.


B) We did the “beat our swords into plowshares” bit after WWI when people naively really believed there would be no more wars. This left us WOEFULLY unprepared for Pearl Harbor.

The same lesson was taught us in the 90s when Clinton reduced the military budget AND the put walls between intelligence communities. The result was 9/11.

Yet Ron Paul would have us make the same mistake and reduce our military believing in the fantasy that if we just leave the rest of the world alone, they will leave us alone. That is EXACTLY why we had Pearl Harbor.

As for ignoring the Soviet Union, you might look into how many nukes have gone missing since the fall of the Soviet Union and the possibility of them making their way to countries like Iran.
