Nixon didnt allow a ambassador to die then cover it up.

President Obama didn't do that. You bat crap crazies will say anything to influence public opinion against the president. You are so desperate because of the election. But it's not working, so why don't you give it a rest?? Romney will never win. Tough. Grow up and realize you don't always get your way.

Actually there’s no point in them stopping now; the die is cast. The voting public turned off the right’s ignorant, idiotic lies years ago.

That's why the GOP kicked ass in 2010?

“…we need to try someone else.”

Who?

The OP doesn’t even mention Romney, as if there are scores of individuals just standing around waiting to be president.

If the OP believes Obama doesn’t ‘deserve’ a second term, he needs to have the courage to say whom he believes will do a better job.

The fact is it’s just between the president and Romney, and Romney is clearly unqualified, fortunately a majority of voters realize that.

I don't think he is unqualified. I think he'll be a disaster since we've seen all of his policies in action before and they delivered a recession that we're just now coming out of.

If you read his plan; he has detailed $391.6 Billion in cuts.
You can read the figures right here:
Spending | Mitt Romney for President

He has said he will not raise taxes on:
The wealthy
The middle income Americans
Small Businesses
Corporations

So if Congress passes all of his cuts, $391.6 billion will be added to the public coffers.

But wait; he'll spend more on Defense. Not sure how much but with ships costing between $500M and $1B each and he wants about 100 more of them...any "savings" are negligible. This is nothing Obama is saying; it's all on Romney's website. HIS stats do not add up. And, oh yeah, he says he's also going to balance the budget and pay down the debt.

If Obama had put this plan out, I'm sure they'd be going over it with a scalpel and a microscope. Somehow, they seem apathetic to their own candidate's "plan".

And somehow that's worse than Obama's plan, which has given us 4 years of the worst recovery on record, record high poverty, record high food stamp usage, record decline in household wealth, record decline in household income, record decline in workforce participation?
Really? Truly? You seriously believe what you write?

Someone else wrote a thread about why Obama has earned another term in office, but I disagree. And this is why:

The primary reason why Obama should not be re-elected is his weak performance on the economy and jobs. The GDP number for the 3rd qtr of 2012 is 2%, a large chunk of which is gov't spending rather than growth in the private sector. That 2% number means GDP growth thus far for FY2012 is at 1.7%, which is less than the 1.8% we had in FY2011 and that was less than the 2.4% we had in 2010. IOW, we ain't getting better, we're getting worse. I know the president inherited an economic mess when he entered into office, but his policies and attitudes have not spurred the kind of growth we should expect to see.

Hand in hand with that is the lack of reasonable job creation. We've had some 3 and a half years where the UE rate has been over 8%, even though we've been spending (or wasting) over 3.5 trillion dollars each year. This past month (Sept) saw the rate drop to 7.8%, which is likely an anomaly that will be adjusted back to 8%. And it's much worse for minorities and young people, damned if I know why they're still supporting this guy. And there's no reason to think that Obama's policies will do much better in a 2nd term, with the rest of the world slowing down and a looming taxmageddon coming on Jan 1st. Many economists are forecasting another recession if taxes are raised in 2013.

There's a lot of other stuff we can discuss, debt/deficits, energy, foreign policy; but I'll close this post talking about leadership. We were promised a change in the way Washington does business when Obama was elected in 2008. Didn't happen, in fact manhy think it has gotten worse. Some blame for that can be laid at the feet of the republicans, fair enough. But a president is supposed to lead, he's supposed to be able to reach across the aisle to the other side. Every other president has been able to do that, but this one has not. Obama allowed Pelosi and Reid to run roughshod over the GOP in 2009 and 2010, engendering a lot of ill will that bore fruit after the 2010 midterms. There was no attempt at cooperation or compromise then, nor is there any now. Obama's lack of leadership then has come back to bite him and us all in the ass now. I don't understnad how anyone can possibly want 4 more years of what we've been through the last 4. Barack Obama has not earned another term in office; we need to try someone else.

Obama may or may not ‘deserve’ another term.

What you and others on the right seem blind to, however – and assuming you’re not proposing the office of president be left vacant for the next for years – is that Romney is not the answer. It’s idiocy to propose someone wholly unqualified such as Romney replace the president, given he would merely reintroduce the same failed policies, both foreign and domestic, from the Bush years.

Had you nominated a more viable candidate to replace Obama, you’re argument might carry more weight.

While I completely agree with you in regards to Mitt Romney, I find it very ironic that you would make the statement, "It’s idiocy to propose someone wholly unqualified such as Romney replace the president", given the truth of the matter that Mitt Romney has so much more experience in everything (except community organizing... maybe) than Barack Obama did when he became President.

Immie

He's the only U.S. President who actually dislikes this country.

Everything else follows from his sick belief system.

And that was such a good decision!! The current approval rating for congress is 21%. They are lucky to get that.

Mainly because the Dems in the Senate are blocking everything the House does.
Obama sure changed the tone in Washington, didnt he?

Our Martian http://www.usmessageboard.com/congress/63125-a-martian-votes-on-tuesday.html wonders if republicans have eyes and ears and even more important a mind? History tells us lots of things but in the last 100 years republicans have been a failure with a few exceptions. So now instead of looking in the mirror of reality they listen to the nonsense of big money and follow like sheep. Right wing republicans would destroy America if only they could have power back. The rights of American citizens matter nada to them. What a sad bunch of mindless partisans.

"The economy is slowly recovering from the 2008 meltdown, and the country could suffer another recession if the wrong policies take hold. The United States is embroiled in unstable regions that could easily explode into full-blown disaster. An ideological assault from the right has started to undermine the vital health reform law passed in 2010. Those forces are eroding women’s access to health care, and their right to control their lives. Nearly 50 years after passage of the Civil Rights Act, all Americans’ rights are cheapened by the right wing’s determination to deny marriage benefits to a selected group of us. Astonishingly, even the very right to vote is being challenged."

Issues: The Economy, Foreign Affairs, Civil Rights, The Supreme Court.

"For these and many other reasons, we enthusiastically endorse President Barack Obama for a second term, and express the hope that his victory will be accompanied by a new Congress willing to work for policies that Americans need." http://www.nytimes.com/2012/10/28/opinion/sunday/barack-obama-for-president.html

only the simple minded think he's the most corrupt and incompetent president we've had...

particularly after 8 years of shrub.

You're joking,kr ight?

How much bipartisan legislation was signed by Bush compared to Obama? What was the average unemployment rate for both? Which one won the war he ordered a surge in?
Bush was a world class genius compared to Obama. What scandal involved the Bush Administration? How did Bush misuse his office? He didnt. He is a choir boy compared to Obama.

But let's compare Obama to another president, Nixon.
Who covered up scandals in his administration?
Who used the IRS to promote his personal political agenda?
Who kept an enemies list?

Right, both of them. Obama is the most corrupt president since Richard Nixon, but lacks Nixon's charisma and foreign policy savvy.

That is such a lie. Do you ever tell the truth???

Look at the all the bills Harry Reid has refused to bring to a vote and then tell me which one of us is lying.
