McCain was born in Panama and many questioned his eligibility to run for office..

Democrats passed an informal resolution allowing him to run and agreed not to make his birth an issue..

If only the loony left were intelligent enough to understand the basic principle of being born American. John McCain was born an American - any child born abroad because their one or more of their parents are there at the behest of their country - is considered to have been born on American soil. So your analogy is totally bogus. Doesn't surprise me that that's too fucking complicated for small minded drooling lefties. They 'passed' a resolution because they knew they couldn't back it up.

Difference - Obama wasn't born to parents serving their country - and only one of them was American... Personally, I think the birth certificate is a ridiculous argument but I also think that anyone who thinks it is ok for the POTUS to ignore it "to make a section of his countrymen look" stupid is absolutely disgraceful. My understanding was that he's said he was going to be a bipartisan POTUS....

Obama not releasing it serves two purposes:

1.) The rabid right looks even more insane.

2.) Obama is not about to give in to the whims of a couple of nuts. Because if you seriously think if Obama released any sort of "birth certificate" that he hasn't already and it would be accepted, you're naive. The birthers would just say it's a fake and continue on.

Or, if they somehow were forced to accept it through even their lack of logic, they'll find something else to hound him on.

1. If you find it acceptable for any POTUS to treat a section of US Citizens in any way - just to make them look insane, that says a LOT about you. I was under the impression that being POTUS meant being POTUS of an entire country - not just the drooling hoards who think he's the 2nd Coming of Christ.

2. Actually, they are citizens - and he should absolutely 'give in to their whims'.... they (we) are his fucking bosses.
