why no Christian shows?

Director's Chair

If we mix society-chic couture with wedding-themed stories, then we can find a modernism spin on Christian-oriented values-unshy programs such as Little House on the Prairie.

Shows such as Melrose Place didn't quite meet this criterion, but perhaps with the right 'accoutrements,' shows like Modern Family and Arrow can meet that 'aesthetic requirement.' Directors make-or-break production goals, no?

Actually, "The Snuff Film of the Christ" was pretty offensive to Jews, as it showed the Jews wanting to murder Jesus.

Now, that might be accurate to the Bible (Christians like to pretend a lot of nasty stuff in the Bible isn't there) but it's still pretty offensive.

You dumbshit Jew, a snuff film is the filming of an actual murder. No one was murdered in making the Passion of the Christ. And, while you Jews screamed like a vampire in sunlight when the movie came out, Gibson greatly compromised the film to make it less honest so as to be less offensive to Antichrist Jews and their Evangelical fans.

sorry, Dude, not Jewish. Most of the Jewish posters think I'm anti-Semitic because I criticize the Zionist State.

So I guess we can call it the "Torture Porn of the Christ", if you want to be more accurate... but you miss the bigger picture.

The South Park Guys said it best.

Most humble apologizes for accusing of you such a horrible thing.

Keep in mind the topic is why there aren't any Christian TV shows (but, it is open season on hating Christians in TV and movies). The answer is the Antichrist Jews control Hollywood. The question isn't what Christians should focus on in their faith.

Okay, first, can you cite some examples of "hating Christians" in movies? I think quite the opposite, Hollywood goes out of its way to not insult Christians.

For instance, the Second X-Men movie changed the antagonist from an evil Televangelist (in the original comic) to an evil military officer because, hey, Christians might be offended.

Secondly, there's nothing to really keep Christians from making their own movies. The problem is, when they do, they are often preachy, dull and badly acted.

And they star Nicholas Cage. Nuff said.

...I see we have Black-ish, Fresh Off the Boat, numerous shows with gays and lesbians--but none about Christians--white Christians ..or about white people making racial jokes?
...I don't have cable/dish so this would be regular TV shows
isn't the US made up of about 70% Christians?

Can't African Americans and Asians be Christian? Not sure what your point is.

Do you want a program where people make fun of their own Christianity but in a sympathetic fashion- like say Fresh off the Boat does with the Asian American experience?

Actually, in the show Blackish, the grandmother talks about being a good Christian woman on a regular basis.
Because blacks are allowed to be ardently Christian and reap the morals that go along with that.

White people are not.

Hollywood is a business that markets programs that will make money. Can christian based shows make money?

A Christian movie is the top earning R movie of all time. G/PG-rated movies tend to make a lot more money that most other movies. There is a huge Christian audience, but little for them to watch.

Look at all the fags on TV. How many people really want to see two fags kiss? Jewish Hollywood isn't just about making money. It's also about corrupting society.

How many gays are on TV? And why would Jews want to corrupt society, exactly?
There are homosexuals on almost every single show on tv.

There are no shows about men either, they make up like 50% of the population.

I just watched the old movie Island In the Sky with John Wayne...really no women in it....just one talking on the phone for a minute asking about her lost husband
...apparently the director or whatever rarely used women in a lot of these same movies about aircraft
...it made the movie a little more''realistic''......without the soap opera crying stuff

You know, I watched "Living Biblically" last week and I thought it was okay. Gonna have to wait and see if the writing fades or not, but the first episode was pretty funny.

It's about a white dude who wants to prepare for fatherhood, so he decides to live his life strictly by the Bible, and he is being advised and guided by a rabbi and a priest. Kinda fun to see the way that you can poke fun at some of the stereotypes.

Incidentally, when the dude told his priest that he wanted to live his life literally by what the Bible says, his priest burst out laughing at him and told him that the Bible is more metaphor and alliterative than it is literal.

So ease up OP, there IS a Christian show about a white dude.

Turn the TV on on Sunday. Plenty of TV evangelists that are adamant that 'god' wants each of them to have a new jet and a Mercedes that is paid for by the last of some elderly persons savings.

I guess that is more Satanist TV come to think of it.

If you have the time, and don't mind a show that pokes fun at some of the religious stereotypes, Living Biblically is a fairly decent show so far.

I find it funny that he's being advised by both a priest and a rabbi.

A Christian show wouldn't have openly mocked the idea of living biblically, dumbshit.

Kevin (Probably) Saves the World is not a Christian show. I enjoy it, but it is not Christian.

Maybe 40%, those who actually attend church, should be counted, but yes, it's still a large demographic. They really should start shoving back; if they don't these left wingers and PC Nazis will literally start shoving them into ovens. In many Muslim countries and Red China, they're already being forcibly used as the primary sources for organ legging businesses, and without even the use of anesthetics.

Given the wide variety of sects of the Christian faith in this country, many of which believe in squabbling with each other as to what the Christian faith actually believes and means, I think that it would be difficult, if not impossible, to come up with one script that would satisfy everyone, let alone do it every week. Just within Christianity itself, the faith means so many different things to so many different people and these views can be radically different. Just saying "Christian" is meaningless.

I don't watch much TV now, but many of the shows I did like, Criminal Minds, Crossing Jordan, Hill Street Blues, had several representations of religion. Going any further than portraying a character as having a "faith moment" like these shows did would probably just lead to complaints from those who feel that their version of the faith was not adequately represented or was represented but did not come out the "winner."

All of this complaining about Hollywood is a bunch of hooey. It's just a gnashing of teeth. There is a pretty wide selection coming out of it. The Best Picture line-up seemed pretty good. If you want to add to the selection, raise some money (there seems to be plenty out there), get a decent script, a good producer, a good director, and decent actors and go for it.

'organ legging'? LOL

Yep people- if we don't have more Christian shows here in the U.S. we will have the ebil Muslims organ legging Christians here......

In tonight's show, the priest and the rabbi are going to tell him that he spends too much time on his smart phone, and is turning it into an idol.
