Why More Troops at Korean Border Than U.S. Border?

unless marshall law is called, isn't it against our law to have our Military operating within our border as Law enforcement?

I know we have had the National Guard sent down to borders, so maybe I am wrong on that....but I thought it was against some legal Act...guess i need to do some googling...?

There is some historical precedence for the Army to patrol the border and enforce federal law. Black Jack Pershing v. Pancho Villa and all that.
