"Why Mitt Romney is Unlikeable!

A lot is being said in the media about Mitt Romney not being "likeable or that he doesn't "relate well" to people. Frankly, we struggled to understand why. So after much research, we dhave come up with a Top Ten List to explain this "unlikablility"

Top Ten Reasons To Dislike Mitt Romney:

1. Drop-dead, collar-ad handsome with gracious, statesman like aura. Looks like every central casting's #1 choice for Commander-in-Chief.

2. Been married to ONE woman his entire life, and has been faithful to her, including through her bouts with breast cancer and MS.

3. No scandals or skeletons in his closet. (How boring is that?)

4. Can't speak in a fake, southern, "black preacher voice" when necessary.

5. Highly intelligent. Graduated cum laude from both Harvard Law School and Harvard Business School, and by the way, his academic records are NOT sealed.

6. Doesn't smoke or drink alcohol, and has never done drugs, not even in the counter-culture age when he went to college. Too square for today's America?

7. Represents an America of "yesterday", where people believed in God, went to Church, didn't screw around, worked hard, and became a SUCCESS!

8. Has a family of five great sons....and none of them have police records or are in drug rehab. But of course, they were raised by a stay-at-home mom, and that "choice" deserves America's scorn.

9. Oh yes.....he's a MORMON. We need to be very afraid of that very strange religion that teaches its members to be clean-living, patriotic, fiscally conservative, charitable, self-reliant, and honest.

10. And one more point.....pundits say because of his wealth, he can't relate to ordinary Americans. ....."

13. Ready to write off 47 per cent of Americans that he does not like.

He didn't call them the 'enemy' though, did he? That was your messiah. Why the selective outrage? It's ok for Obama to right off those who disagree with him as 'the enemy' but not ok for Romney to state - accurately - that there is a percentage who will not vote for him.

The left wing and their faux outrage... funny shit.

They're not really Americans in the historical sense. They're only here to eat out of the trough the Democrats have promised to keep filled for them. You could switch them out for any porcine species and see very little difference in their political behavior. The Arizona Conservative John Semmons, in yesterday's blogpost noted that the 800,000 new part time jobs that suddenly materialized out of the economic vacuum driving the UE Rate down to a still lofty 7.8%, is part of the new Obama economic reality, they no longer need to work full time jobs anymore, everybody hates having to put in their full fourty hours anyway, and Barry's giving them much needed succor and relief from that obligation with their foodstamps and their free cellphones, so even if they're only managing to scavenge part time jobs here and there, they're still closer to that Socialist Worker's Paradise that Barry is striving to institute than if they all had some dreary, weary, burdensome full time job under that evil Capitalist, Mitt Romney.

If he had said, "There are 47% who will not vote for me" and left it at that, he'd have been fine.

But then he started attacking their character, and that's where he screwed up.

And he did this in front of a bunch of rich douchebags paying more for that dinner than most of those people make.

So Romney says something disparaging about really, 80% of the country, not just the 47%, in front of people who paid more for a plate of rubber chicken than most of that 80% make in a year.

Something he'd never say in public, but one of those wage-slaves taped him...

And you wonder why he's unlikeable?

What?

The dude has the fucking brow ridge of a neanderthal, small beady eyes, fake as shit hair and more.

Obama looks way more presidential. And in the end, what the fuck does "looking" presidential even fucking matter?

If there is a citizenry on this planet that does NOT have an entitlement mentality, it is the American people. American workers take less vacation time than any other people. American workers take pride in the quality of their work and their work ethic.

What Romney said is a gross insult and reveals a dangerous mindset. He reeks of contempt for middle class working people and the poor.

Who are the 47%?

Federal budget and Census data show that, in 2010, 91 percent of the benefit dollars from entitlement and other mandatory programs went to the elderly (people 65 and over), the seriously disabled, and members of working households. People who are neither elderly nor disabled — and do not live in a working household — received only 9 percent of the benefits.

Moreover, the vast bulk of that 9 percent goes for medical care, unemployment insurance benefits (which individuals must have a significant work history to receive), Social Security survivor benefits for the children and spouses of deceased workers, and Social Security benefits for retirees between ages 62 and 64. Seven out of the 9 percentage points go for one of these four purposes.

80 percent of the workforce has seen their wages decline in real terms over the last quarter-century, and the average household has seen 40 percent of its wealth disappear during the Great Recession. Through it all, families never asked for a handout from anyone, especially Washington. They were left to go on their own, working harder, squeezing nickels, and taking care of themselves. But their economic boats have been taking on water for years, and now the crisis has swamped millions of middle class families. ref ref

"Labor is the United States. The men and women, who with their minds, their hearts and hands, create the wealth that is shared in this country—they are America."

JoeyBoy, I don't know why you respond to my posts. You lost any credibility with me when you constantly lied and misquoted Romney, when you went from rabid right winger desperately supporting the corrupt asshole Gingrich to a rabid left winger who thinks Obama's shit don't stink... and that's just two of the many flip flops that you've done on this board.

You are an hysterical, overly emotional, childish, tantrum driven moron.

I like Romney. But then, I lean towards rational, calm, intelligent people.

I don't know why you respond either, since you never seem to be able to counter my points with anything more intelligent than "you hate him because he's a Moooooooooooorman!"

WHich is true, but I didn't even bring up his whacky cult here.

I just pointed out that he was sort of mendacious. If he had talked about working people on the campaign trail back in the primaries the way he did there, Newt or Santorum would be the nominee now.

For me, it's not a left or right thing. Doing the right thing for the country is not a left or right thing. Never has been.

I liked what Newt was saying. I think he kind of got it in that if we don't fix the middle class, the rest of it wouldn't matter. So between Newt and Mitt, Newt was the lesser of two evils.

Between Mitt and Barry, Barry is the lesser of two evils.

They say the same thing about dead people.

"He looks good don't he?" - says the onlooker gazing into the casket.

We?

As far as I'm aware, you don't speak on behalf of anyone but yourself.

We all get to decide for ourselves who is or is not 'likeable'.... at least, that is the current way in the USA. Perhaps you left wing hacks think this is not acceptable and would like to hand the ability to like or dislike over to the government.

Moron.

That's only because most jobs in America grant less time off for vacations than other nations.

[Why the sudden fascination with Illinois? For some unfathomable reason numerous little tidbits of various signs of defection from Illinois' Communist overlord keep popping up on the Conservative websites.]

[Especially this one from Illinois with this highly descriptive note on Barry's appearance at the end of the first debate. There's plenty more in there, by the way.]

"By the end of the debate, Barack Obama looked like he was wishing he were back home in Indonesia, where at least he could have been eating dog instead of crow."
