Why McCain?

I want to hear a logical reason to support McCain. 'Because he is the best choice' and 'I do not like Obama' do not count as 'logical' answers.

Well my first choice in the primaries was Fred Thompson but as you can see, he didn't make it.
Now I have to choose between Obama and McCain. I view McCain as a big government socialist (Compassionate Conservative) and Obama as a big government Communist (Liberal).
So the choice is the lesser of two evils, McCain. I won't consider third party candidates.

I, similarly, am not a terrorist, however I have no idea if I was, or was not, surveilled. However my right to be comfortable in my right of privacy when I have a private conversation has been infringed upon.

And since we are playing this fun little game, 18 U.S.C. 2709 was changed under the patriot act as well to allow FBI officials to demand information from ISP's with NO oversight. This has been found to be unconstitutional, however.

You wanted to know how the Patriot act destroyed civil liberties, and I showed you. And no, actually it wasn't checked by the high court. Neither issue has made it there yet.

Oh, and by the way, those are only the things we know of. The Bush administration would never have been "checked by the high court" if it hadn't been for the NY Times leaking the information. The problem with saying "what civil liberties have been destroyed" is that there is a good possibility that there would be no way of finding out.
