I always think it is humorous how conservative Republicans think they have the support of the masses. They have no idea how misguided they are.
A large number of Germans supported Hitler. They didn't know any better. Same thing with Castro and Cuba.
I would guess that there were a large number of Iraqis who didn't mind Saddam. After all, he only killed off a small portion of them.

The economy was already ruined when we instituted those practices. they're short term only. Notice we didn't stick with them. Socialist economies do not grow because innovation and excellence are rewarded the same as sloth and mediocrity.

Bullshit. The liberals are no more than people who are trying too hard to help everyone. The reality is you can't help everyone, somebody has to fall by the waistside; it's inevidable, the liberals must accept that.

America is waking up. Conservatives are the majority, and we're growing. People are looking at liberals for what they are, and seeing that their ideas are communistic and bad for America.

Yes it does look red, however the numbers look more like a moderate swing.
So yes Bush had the support of the masses, voted in fairly and all that, however I would not say that the majority of people are conservative, Bush just won the moderate vote.

I disagree. If a majority of the people were liberal then why wouldnt the democratic party run as liberals every election? Why not present their agenda truthfully to the public that they wish to raise taxes in order to pay for government programs that will, in their opinion, better people's lives by getting them dependent on the government? Why not say to the people we are against ALL WAR at any time and do not wish to create further conflict by antagonizing our enemies with our big, bad military? Then explain to the people their plan for dismantling the military so that other nations will see us leading by example and do the same?

Instead we see democrats run as fiscal "moderates" or peacenik-warhawks promising no new tax hikes by explaining that theyd only tax the rich. We see them placate the masses with anti-war candidates that are former soldiers. They speak "peace and love" from one side of their mouth and shout "im a military man" from the other.

No my dear deaddude, if the country were not truly conservative, then Democrats wouldnt have to disguise themselves every election as something they are not.
