Why Is This Race Close?...

In 2008 it was the Republicans election to win. In 2012 it is the Democrats election to lose.

In short both guys are too stupid to understand that.

Decades of Media propaganda and Public School indoctrination, as well as growing dependency on Government, are taking their toll.

Sums it up perfectly. Very good article by Ira Brodsky.

President Obama’s re-election hopes should be growing dimmer by the hour.

His domestic policy has caused unprecedented suffering: high unemployment, gas prices that have doubled, and record numbers on food stamps and disability.

His foreign policy has emboldened our enemies. Our embassies are under attack and Iran’s genocidal leaders are closer to acquiring nuclear weapons.

And yet it is a tight race. How can that be?

Perhaps the polls are wrong. But it’s more likely that decades of media propaganda and public school indoctrination, as well as growing dependency on government, are taking their toll.

Conservative pundits complain that poll samples are skewed in favor of Democrats. When polls conducted just prior to elections are compared with the actual election results, they are frequently found to have overestimated Democrats’ strength. And there are many other potential sources of error in polls. Most polls are conducted via landline telephones despite the fact that more and more people use cellphones exclusively. Some people also believe that conservatives are less likely to participate in polls.

But even polls conducted by Fox News and the Wall Street Journal show President Obama ahead. If we give Romney a 3-point handicap, then the race is dead even.

The media influences how people perceive the issues and candidates, which is why responsible news organizations should strive to be accurate and fair. The fact that most reporters and editors are left-of-center is not necessarily a problem. But it is a problem that many reporters and editors have bought into the idea that since perfect objectivity is unattainable there is no point in trying to be objective. Some of these journalists end up becoming full-fledged propagandists.

The media’s role as propagandist is evidenced in several ways. News stories freely mix opinion with fact. Interviews are conducted not to gather information but to prove points. Investigations are conducted not to uncover news but to create it. Instead of acknowledging the need for independent media watchdogs, members of the media appoint themselves to “fact check” the candidates. For example, the fact-checking website PolitiFact.com is owned and operated by the anti-Republican Tampa Bay Times and its staff includes a number of reporters.

Many voters see through the propaganda. They use the Internet to compare what different news sources are saying. They dig deeper into stories. They seek out independent commentary. But many others trust the major news outlets...

Why don't you ask your Ron Paul pals like Dissent, Kennedy, and the rest that question. Part of the reality is, it's really NOT close - they are just polling the liberals they want to get the numbers they want. The other part of the problem is that there are all of these Ron Paul worshippers crying like the biggest bunch of little bitches I have ever seen screaming that they are going to vote for Gerry Johnson just to "teach the GOP a lesson" (like that's going to work ). If they would just grow up, accept the fact that their guy lost, and vote for the next best thing - then this would be the biggest landslide in presidential election history.

Dumn ass voters, lazy entitlement wanting shit, bleeding heart liberals, and Bush.

Romney wants to bring immigrants here with degrees to be the bosses of those in his base he doesn't want to invest in.
Immigration | Mitt Romney for President

Rick Santorum says the Republican Party doesn't want smart people.

The biggest part of Romney's base is white guys with no degrees. They support Romney because they hate having a black president.

And that explains why the race is close.

You guys should have treated Ron Paul supporters with more respect. That might have helped. You needed all the friends you could get. Now most are bitter. You guys just didn't think things through. And now you may have to pay the price. It doesn't look good for Romney.

Oh and I agree that the Paul supporters should have been treated better. But it's a two way street there.

Why Is This Race Close?... blame it on

- decades of Media propaganda

- journalists end up becoming full-fledged propagandists.

- public school indoctrination

- poll samples skewed in favor of Democrats.

Conservative "whinners" will put the blame everyone and everybody except admit that it isn't the electorate that's wrong, its the fact that the Republicans/Tea Party have shifted too far to the political right!

So you're admitting the Ron Paul radical idiots are cutting off their own noses just to spite their faces?

By the way, how exactly were the Ron Paul supporters not treated with respect? People looked at Ron Paul and liked what they saw - right up to the point where he opened his mouth about national security and blamed America for 9/11. At that point, any rational human had no use for him.

The irrational continued to scream for Paul and bash the world for not putting a kook in the White House. Paul supporters were treated with plenty of respect, until they threw a tantrum like children that their candidate was sent home where he belongs.

Because NaziCons confused their "fictional" Obama with the "real" Obama. The "real" Obama should win by a landslide.

The real Obama - who is on video claiming (and I quote) "under my plan, energy pricesses would necessarily skyrocket". The real Obama, who is on record stating he wanted to see gas prices at European levels (ie $8 - $10 per gallon). The real Obama - who is on record stating he believes in redistribution and that we need to "spread the wealth". The real Obama who believes healthcare should be provided to everyone, regardless of their ability to pay.

Gee, I wonder why the "real Obama" is struggling to get re-elected.

Everybody wants to kill Romney, but the truth is, Obama has the unions, hollywood, and the news media. The Obama machine would have been tough for any candidate to overcome.

As well as minorities, and others who need a president that will promise them anything for free. Never mind that is isn't sustainable....

The race is close because you have a growing level of stupidity and ignorance as well as an entitlement mentality among the American people combined with a piss poor Republican nominee who changes his positions on the issues every other day while being incapable of relating to the common every day Joe.

Regardless of who wins this election the country I grew up in is gone. We're in decline and will continue to do so no matter who is in charge of the country. Demographic factors point to that being the only logical conclusion.
*nods*

Even if Ron Paul or Gary actually got into office... Dem's and Repub's still control the houses.

No I think he was saying that republicans were cutting off their own noses just to spite their faces.

Yeah... You still ignore what they did to the delegates at the RNC I see. Well... You are really no longer worth talking to.

How do you mean? Ron Paul or his supporters are treating republicans bad in some way? How is that, buy not voting for them?

You reflect the rabid Neocon hate for Ron Paul and his supporters perfectly. You guys played that one all wrong. And now it may cost you.
