Why is Jimmy Carter considered to have been a bad president?

Befor
Carter didn't invade anyone, which is probably why the Right hates him.
Before this post of yours,a troll just farted in this thread.

yeah thats why the american sheep like the troll that posted before you, have fallen for the propaganda of the CIA media that carter was the worst president ever till Obama.they are right that Obama is the worst president, but the fact they ignore that reagan was the most corrupt ever at the time just proves their ignorance and Bias towards him.

Today, American Presidents are expected to have wars, and we understand why. Martin Van prevented a number of American wars by using diplomacy, and is rated 23rd best. If Van Buren had only one or two mediocre wars he would have been rated higher. Of course in those days presidents were not rated and did not know the impact of wars on a presidency. Today we know better. Bush's war was so crudely done, I mean the carrier landing, mission accomplished childishness that it backfired. It almost gave wars a bad name.

I think it was his politicalized the Iraqi hostage situation by holding himself hostage in Washington until it was time to campaign. Plus by making Paul Volker head of the Federal Reserve the U.S. got serious about inflation which ran wild after the Great Society, Vietnam War and OPEC oil embargo in 1973. It was medicine that was needed at the time but like GHW Bush found out when he raised taxes, American civilians aren't used to making sacrifices.

Carter may be considered awful, but he had to deal with congress and KEPT to the constitution. All we can say about Carter is.........his administration was awful as far as righting the ship. If it was he or congress that deserves the blame, we have to look back in history, but surely it wasn't a good time.

As an add on..........we now have a President who just bypasses congress for the most part. Are we now happy? I think not!

Conclusion: Presidents should not wield the power that Obama has, and when Presidents fail when they do not wield that power as Carter did, you know there is more to the story than just his incompetence.

But yes, it was a very bad time, and fair or not, he gets the blame soley because he was President.

Carter was not in with the good old boys. He was considered an outsider from the get go. That was his primary problem.
