Why is it?

Aren't you the one that posted the thread about the political spectrum recently? Where did libertarian fall on the axis?

That was a two-dimensional model that listed libertarian as an end point on the opposite side of authoritarian on the y-axis. The left -right (x-axis) was defined as the ECONOMIC SCALE.

Again, thanks for supporting my point. :clap2:

just in case you want to confirm:

Funny, I didn't see capitalism on that axis. And as you can see by the axis, libertarian is neither left nor right.

I guess you selectively skipped over the examples then. Unless of course you think Lenin and Mao were capitalists and Thatcher was a socialist.

bwahahahahahahaha!

And I've been saying all along that libertarian (liberal) vs. authoritarian is it's own axis artard.

I didn't take the test. I'll go do so.

I don't know why I wasted my time. So a couple of people that are right wing were also capitalists means capitalism is only a right wing ideal?

You asked the question - is libertarianism right or left and I replied neither.

I was right.

One more thing Ravi,

When I asked you where Libertarians were, I was referring to the political party, not the endpoint on the spectrum. In case you are not familiar with their platform, they are extremely right-wing on the economics scale and extremely liberal on the social scale.

No shit sherlock. That's why I asked the question.

Capitalism is right-wing on the economics scale. Deal with it pansy!

I'm not saying you're wrong. I'm just saying I'm not convinced.

That's because you're mixing theorical ideology and practice. Even Jill figured that out once I apprised her of it.

To say that capitalist theory is a right-wing ideal is not the same as saying anyone that believes in our current psuedo-capitalist economic model is to be labeled a right-winger in accordence with current political lexicon. That would be just plain stupid. Just like saying that anyone who advocates the separatarion of church and state is to be labeled a left-wing, liberal moonbat is just plain stupid.

Economics has never been my strong suit. Apparently, neither has thinking.

;)

Have you ever considered that it could be the way you state things?

Just sayin'

The far right has no power?!?!? RAFLMAO! Every campaign you ran between 2000 and 2004 wasn't about anything but guns, gays and
G-d...so how do you figure?

Bullshit. Evey campaign was run on "look at the idiot the Dems have sent to run against me." Doesn't take much else.

The far right indeed has no power.

Is abortion legal? Yes it is. Your fearmongering that some Republican is going to take it away if he gets elected holds no water.

Are guns legal? Yes they are, but then hey, that's guaranteed by the US Constitution.

I find it hillarious that you would make mention of guns in the same sentence you again go into fearmonger mode on God. Are you guaranteed freedom of religious choice by the US Constitution? Yes you are.

Does the US Constitution preclude religion in government? Why no, it doesn't. The Constitution states that the Federal government can endorse no single religion. It doesn't say there can be no religion, nor religious belief in government in any way, shape, nor form by any stretch of the imagination ... well except the left's imagination that is.

Only extreme right wing zealots are for theocracy. You refuse to accept that because you choose to believe your own hype rather than the truth.
