I noticed awhile back when I was attending a public school in New Jersey that there was an teacher who was talking about how she was not allowed to discuss anything related to evolution at the school since public schools are not allowed to talk about it. That is something that has always confused me. Can someone explain exactly what is the reason that this is not allowed to be talked about? If someone could clear this up for me that would be greatly appreciated.

So is there no particular reason for it other than the fact that American society hasn't moved past that social aspect?

Are you serious? I was told by a 10th grade English teacher at a public school in New Jersey, United States that she was not allowed to talk about evolution or Darwinism to any of us in class, simply because "public schools don't allow it." Why the hell would she say something like this to us?‍♂️‍♂️

Sounds like that teacher is an idiot. I was taught about evolution in the 1970s and my children were taught about evolution in the 90s and 2000s.

That's the ONLY alternative talked about when I was in school. They taught this nonsense as FACT.
