I'm wondering why this lost it's popularity. It is basically making fun of poor dumb southern black folk and it is kind of insulting but how is it different than a movie like White Girls? That is two black guys doing whiteface and making fun of the blonde valley girl stereotype. A lot of people think that is funny and not one white woman I know ever said that they were offended by it. In both cases, the characture is so over the top that no one really takes it as an actual representation of white people or black people.
