Why I'm not a socialist (don't gloat, conservatives)

Now, you know as well as I, that a capitalist solution to such a problem would be to send their workers packing and not care what happens to them
capitalism is about caring you lack the IQ to understand it. For you crippling welfare is about the only kind of caring you can understand.

Again you come back with fantasy economics. Venezuela had plenty of oil...its just that its value dropped by more than half. They didn't need solar or wind or fracking.....they had plenty of fuel
Only its economic value plummeted

Venezuela had plenty of oil...its just that its value dropped by more than half.

Because the government spent the oil revenues and underinvested in oil infrastructure, their output in dollars suffered a much larger drop than seen in the price alone.

Worked out great while oil was over $100 a barrel.......not so great when it dropped under $50
Venezuela's problem was that their economy was not diversified

Can you explain how their people would have done better under capitalism?
How would capitalists have treated the Venezuelan workers once the price of oil dropped?

Can you explain how their people would have done better under capitalism?

A capitalist run oil industry would have done a better job ensuring the oil would keep flowing.
Short sighted socialist control meant handouts, instead of maintenance.
Works for a little while fails in the long run.

How would capitalists have treated the Venezuelan workers once the price of oil dropped?

Capitalism is always experimenting. Try something, if it works, if it's profitable, more will try it.
If it fails, try something else.
With socialism, you're left with killing the greedy kulaks, eh comrade?

I hear they'll be forcing their people into the fields soon.
Worked great in Cambodia, right?
A valiant effort but a failure nonetheless

Venezuela does not have a problem with not enough oil, they have a problem with an oil market that crashed
Now, you know as well as I, that a capitalist solution to such a problem would be to send their workers packing and not care what happens to them

Venezuela does not have a problem with not enough oil

Still can't get enough toilet paper in their socialist paradise.
Lousy management.

Price of oil is high...increase production
Price drops.....it becomes less profitable

Any capitalist knows that

Once the oil industry collapsed, would the capitalists have taken care of the people of Venezuela?
taken care of ?? you mean with crippling welfare?? crippling people is not taking care of them. Do you have the IQ to understand that??

You fail to answer a simple question

You mock the socialist system for failing to take care of the people but still have not explained how the people would have done better with capitalists calling the shots

Good answer

Except once the oil industry failed...the workers were on their own
What would capitalists have done to help the people?

obviously invent fracking, horizontal drilling, wind, solar, electric cars, etc. to provide them new jobs. Notice how the obvious escapes the liberal mind and a conservative always ends up running a kindergarden for liberals who lack the IQ to graduate?

Free market goes where the most profit is. For Venezuela, the most profit was in oil

You think the reason behind Venezuela's lower production is because they voluntarily reduced production?

Hooverville, comes to mind. Laissez-fair policy is only worth, one term.

Fact is that after the oil bust, the capitalists would have immediately fired the workers and done nothing for them

The socialists didn't fire them, they just stopped paying them. Very helpful!

How could I be a socialist(marxist you mean) when I want more CORPORATIONS and competition...

Larger middle class
More money for workers
Stronger economy
More leadership science, infrastructure and higher educational standards

Most marxist societies don't give a shit about any of that.

.

how would you like to get more corporations? Perhaps tax incentives to start a new corporation?? Elimination of the corporate tax altogether? Double the pay of any CEO whose corp hits $2 million in sales.
