William Barr Goes Rogue on His Own Inspector General’s Report on Russia Investigation
For months and months all I heard from Trumpers was how honorable inspector general Horowitz is...how highly regarded he is as an investigator, how his report will set the record straight....then the minute his report is released, all of those compliments about Horowitz flies directly out the window.....why does this keep happening??
"As expected, the top line of Inspector General Michael Horowitz’s review of the origins of the FBI investigation into potential conspiracy between Russia and the Trump 2016 presidential campaign tended to exonerate the FBI—investigators found “no documentary or testimonial evidence” that FBI officials were driven by political bias against Trump when they opened the probe, known as “Crossfire Hurricane,” in July 2016...Attorney General William Barr and U.S. Attorney for Connecticut John Durham, who Barr tapped to run a parallel investigation of Crossfire Hurricane and related investigations. Both issued statements throwing significant shade at Horowitz's report, though, technically, Barr is Horowitz's boss. “I’ve never seen such an internal DOJ effort to challenge and undermine the IG's findings,” Harry Litman, a former U.S. attorney, told me Monday. “It is not what the Department of Justice does.”
William Barr went before Congress and said that Obama spied on the Trump campaign, the IG report along with previous reports into that claim all prove that Barr is full of shit....Most respectable people would have resigned after being exposed for that huge of a lie...Durham, the same guy who you all cheer is going to be the guy who brings down the Deep State -- even he was UNABLE to provide any evidence to Horowitz about any of these conspiracy theories -- but it didn't stop him from following orders and pushing the same White House spin his boss Barr is.....why push White House spin when you can push the evidence?? Or do they not have it??
If you have evidence that proves all of the conspiracy theories you are selling to Trump voters (because that is the target audience of these conspiracies) -- why are you so reluctant to present it?? Why play this game of "wait and see until this report comes out...wait and see until that report comes out" -- only to publicly undermine and attack the same report you were once touting?? At some point even Trumpers should be demanding that Trump and Barr need to put up or shut up, if you have the evidence, present it, bring down all of these folks if they made all of this up -- there are dozens of people who are either in prison or currently under felony indictments whom Trump can set free if he presents his evidence that all of this was made up -- why doesn't he do it??
