Why has the American media waited so long to report the atrocities committed in Afghanistan and Iraq? Does anyone actually believe it all just started with Sgt. Bales and Marines pissing on corpses and the latest photo of GIs holding up the limbs of the dead like fishing trophies? Really?

As a classical liberal, I stand against our country's military interventionist tradition for reasons that are best discussed another time. That said, I would argue posing for pictures with your dead enemy does not constitute an atrocity. Stated differently, if we were involved in a just war, no one would give a flying crap what our military did with the bodies of the enemy...'cuz they're the enemy!
