Why Government is Evil

What you want the vast majority of Americans will never vote for

Most Americans don't want a Smaller Efficient Government? :eusa_eh:

Ok..

We all prefer some out of control Government don't we?

--

Don't compare what I stand for to Anarchy.. Big Difference.. Just like i don't compare what you stand for to Communism..

Your just blinded by the MSM to make you believe that the Right wants Anarchy.. :cuckoo:

What you want is no rules.

That is not democracy.

In a democracy we vote on what we want to do with government.

What You want you will never find in this country.

Try Somalia

The U.S. is a Constitutional Republic, not a Democracy - so it looks like you're going to need to move too.

Buh-bye!

This happens?

go study economic history , without regulation all markets grow monopolys.

What is so wrong with monopolies if they just got that way because they beat the shit out of their competitors? In a free market any monopoly will always have a competitor that springs up so monopolies really can't exist for to long.

So you're saying it's ok for private entities to do whatever they please to compete?

Like provide a service or product the people want or need for a low price? Or a real monopoly as in the government giving a private entity an edge over their competition?

Its not so much government is evil its more the fact that the people who compose government of any form are no different than anyone else. This is true for a monarchy, dictator, or democratically elected officials. The truth is that the people in government are no more evil than anyone else in the world except for one difference. The evil that lies in every person is always held in check by the inalienable rights of others such as a person who has no moral restriction to steal may be held in check when the person he seeks to steel from will object. This objection might cause him to think twice about the morality of his actions and provide an extra incentive to not steal. Simply put, the rights of other people keep our behaviors in check since someone's right to their property keeps us from stealing it but government has no check since it can act against our will even though it knows we object to it hence the reason why government is involuntary force in our lives.

The people who have power may be held in check by their own moral conscience that restrains them against abusing their power but how much can we trust their conscience when we know that they are no different and just as evil as anyone else. This kind of enviroment where they can act on all impulses with no check invites them to act on every aspect of their nature which can be both good and evil.

This have been the history of government from the beginning. No force has caused more suffering on this earth than government itself and it is because a deadly cocktail has been mixed together of human nature and the ability of the people in government to remove any ability of other human beings who are not in government to resist them.

They are now like the person who may not have the moral restraint to keep from stealing but always had others who could object to the theft therefore keeping his behavior in check. The only difference is that those they want to steal from can not object to that theft which makes government a breeding ground for evil in our society.

This statement really makes you sound like an anarchist. I sure hope that is not where we are headed.

Anarchism is a political philosophy encompassing theories and attitudes which consider the state, as compulsory government, to be unnecessary.

What a load of horseshit.

what you want is anarchy.

This is a democracy.

You need to move

So anarchists have no right to have their views heard and should be forced to move?

TM was merely pointing out that you can't have anarchy here, and recommending a suitable course of action for someone who wants anarchy.

Are you or TM likely to get the exact form of government you want? Perhaps you should leave then?

So, if the electricity coming to my house is owned by a monopoly, how exactly would a competitor 'spring up'?

Actually it does exist in a very limited way another power generation corp is allowed to lease the electric lines to ship you power on. Yeah I know it is not the same electrons but a watt is a watt...

And if you generate electricity you can arranger to sell it to the electric company.
Like on your land line for the telco.

NO. By the very definition of a monopoly (one seller and many buyers), there can be no competition. There is no free market. If competition arises you do not have a monopoly. Competition can not arise since the monopoly controls the market. This situation occurs when you have unregulated capitalism, no government regulation.

Regulated Capitalism, which is the economic system in the US and most of the world puts controls on businesses forcing some degree of fair play thus allowing for the rise of competition.

A company has a monopoly when they make a product or service that no other company can match, either price or quality. That company, in order to maintain it's monopoly, must keep it's product price low, which is good for the purchasing public. If the company feels they can charge more and raise their price, the public will look for alternatives and once the price has gone up other companies will start to manufacture an alternative product. In a free market, regulation should be very limited.
