Why Don't the Democrats Discuss Obama's Policies?

The economy was shedding 800,00 jobs per month when he took office. It has created 4.5M private sector jobs in the past 3 years.

The economy was an annualized 9% of its income when Obama took office. It has since been growing for 12 straight quarters.

The President stuck to his promise and timeline in Iraq and to his promise (with a delay due to the situation on the ground) in Afghanistan.

The President ordered the death of OBL. On the other hand, GITMO is still open.

The President rescinded DADT.

The President quit defending DOMA and took steps towards recognizing all marriages.

The President passed the most significant health care reform package since LBJ and significant, if watered-down, financial reform.

It's an election year and it seems all the democrats want to discuss is contrived "Dog and Pony Shows". This is a serious election, and Obama's policies are off the table.
I would like to see the left defend what Obama's accomplishments have been, both the good and the bad.

He doesn't offend us. There are things I might not agree with, but most of them consist of standing up to the bullies on the right and not trying to compromise for the first two years of his term.

Nothing he could do or has done is worse than what the right has done and will do again.

And the din on the right has been so loud since inauguration day that it's almost impossible to have a discussion on the merits.

I don't consider myself a dem but here are some of his policies I like...

Established “Opening Doors”
Fraud Enforcement and Recovery Act.
National Commission on Fiscal Responsibility and Reform
Dodd-Frank (DF) Wall Street Reform and Consumer Protection Act
Bureau of Consumer Financial Protection
Credit Card Accountability, Responsibility and Disclosure Act
Lilly Ledbetter Fair Pay Act
Repeal DADT
Small Business Act.
Dismantled the Minerals Management Service
Edward M. Kennedy Serve America Act
Osama Bin Laden, dead
Out of Iraq
Daniel Pearl Freedom of the Press Act.

The DNC talking pointless directives CLEARLY command the hacks to adhere to the official policy:

The President is running from his record.

OH! Pre-emptive attainment of the nobel peace prize for "diplomatic relations restored across the world and nuclear disarmement".......A new and improved pro-active appraoch to peace prize attainment. :lmao:

Then procedes to bomb sovereign nations, assassinate citizens abroad, continue war crimes such as torture and ramps up domestic militarization.

Nice work, Obama!!

Nobody here is willing to discuss anything they "disagree with" in an honest manor, so what the hell is the point?

At first, he was the *most destructive because of his Stimulus package. After revealing letters from a Mr. Paul Ryan admitting that while he said PUBLICLY it would be a disaster and not create jobs, he was writing letters asking for an allocation of funds and in said letter stated that it would create jobs.

That is blatant dishonesty, and who wants to deal with that?

And both sides are being dishonest about the medicare policies of the other - so who wants to deal with that?

They say Obam,a went on an apology tour, and cut clips from his tour speeches that sounded suspect, whereas if you had heard the entire speeches he PRAISED American exceptionalism, over and over. Who wants to deal with that dishonesty?

Nobody can judge him on foreign policy accurately, because you are not privy to classified information, so you'd be arguing from a position of ignorance. Who wants to deal with that dishonesty?

The delusions and hatred of Obama are abundantly based on half truths and inaccurate information. Even if you're NOT for Obama, and attempt to have a discussion correcting some of the disinformation out there, you're slammed with DISINFORMATION, DISINFORMATION, DISINFORMATION, over and over ad nauseum.

Partisans are hack children who definitely weren't raised right.

you're right... they didn't keep a budget from being passed in order to try to kill planned parenthood.

and they didn't refuse to pass a pro forma debt ceiling resolution which forced us to lose our AAA rating... nah.. never happened.

and the tea people weren't elected to congress for the sole purpose of being obstructionist or anything.

again... bush's policies cost us approximately 750,00 jobs a month. there is nothing in romney's policies or the GOP policies that wouldn't return us to that nightmare.

you guys cut our revenue...
then cut money to the states
which in turn cut firemen, teachers, police, etc...
which in turn raised the unemployment rate
which in turn reduced our revenue...

the fact that we're doing as well as we are in the face of the teaparty invasion and the political extremism of the right is a miracle.

How can this country keep spending money we don't have? It's going to hurt to get us back on track, Jillian. Obama created a committee to look into how to resolve the issues, and then ignored their finding, Jillian. Now we are on the road for across the board cuts at the first of the year.
