Why Don't People Check Posts Before Posting?

I know it's happened to me more than once.

But, I go through all the New Posts first to make sure I don't post the same things others do or can add what I have to an existing thread.

Any suggestions?

I most always do a thread search before starting a new one.

Except of course when I announced Willie Nelson's death.
