Why don't most Americans support a "Public Option" for health insurance?

It really boosted commerce by giving a great port to the country.

The roads are still a massive part of how we stay on top.

You people dont think things all the way through.

What if it was all still part of France

Unlikely considering France was obviously trying to get its hands out of North America. Worst case scenario the Louisiana territory would be independent of the United States, but I find even that unlikely had we not purchased it.

so you are comparing doubling the size of the united states and doubling the natural resources we were able to get our hands on as well as building roads to help commerce to giving everyone healthcare insurance?

cause they are obviously one in the same

one end helps the country and the other one puts it into huge debt while accomplishing nothing

They are general welfare.

If we can not compete in this world wide market because our employers and employees have constantly rising cost due to healthcare or the alternative which is an unhealthy workforce we will flounder.

All of the industiralized nations make sure their workforce is healthy, we do not.

add that cost to the cost of doing business and the foriegn competition will crush our American cos.

So let's get the government out of the way to create a more competitive and efficient healthcare market, rather than give government more control in that sector leading to higher costs and more inefficiency.

The government is not in their way guy.

they are raping the American public with their control over our health.

They have a 400% profit margin

Why don't most Americans support a "Public Option" for health insurance?.

Because they know that The French SOCIALIZED HellCare Murdered Princess Diana

37. WHY DIDN'T THEY LEAVE SOONER OR DRIVE FASTER?

"To many, the elapsed time from the arrival of the ambulance at the accident scene to the hospital -- a total of one hour and 45 minutes -- seemed inordinately long. Diana, after all, didn't have to be cut out of the car (though both Rees-Jones and Paul did!) And the ambulance bypassed at least two major hospitals. To Parisians, the pace of the trip was entirely understandable. French ambulances are always staffed with a fully qualified doctor and are considered an extension of the hospital: driving slowly is standard. 'It's worse to go fast," says Mailliez. "Braking and accelerating can literally kill your patient, because the blood races to head and feet alternately.' " (Rod Nordland, Newsweek, 20 Oct., p. 34-35)

The AMA findings must be viewed in the context of the unprecedented consolidation of the health insurance market, Rohack said. Between 1995 and 2005, there were more than 400 mergers involving health insurers and managed care organizations, according to a researcher of merger and acquisition trends in the health care industry.

"Given the troubling trends in health insurance nationwide, federal regulators need to take a hard look at whether patients are being harmed as mergers and takeovers reduce the number of competing health insurers," said Dr. Rohack. "When it is difficult for a new insurer to enter a market with few dominant health plans, patients can be charged high prices without the threat of competition to keep insurers in check."

People who are too stupid to not understand what "public" and "option" means either separately or together, shouldn't even soil our process with their vote if they are that Goddamn uneducated, imho.

It's simple. The private sector makes money whereas the government wastes money.

Really? Then why are banks and auto companies coming to the government for bailouts?

Because they know that the government is willing to waste taxpayer money on them. If it weren't for the government those businesses that can no longer compete would go out of business, and therefore would no longer be wasting resources.

And would no longer be supplying people with jobs.

... such as government controlled health care.
